Anyone who thinks Jim is a rubbish comedian needs to watch this. He may not be all shits and giggles in the house but he is great at his job. So funny!

I see it the other way round - I'm not a fan of his shows, but I think he's very funny in the house.

Just skipped through it. Absolutely horrific, and almost never funny. Most comedy doesn't date well anyway. I remember being taken to see his standup in Cheltenham town hall when I was too young. Fortunately most of it went over my head but I remember quite a few racist bits. He was still doing his "nick nick" copper routines and his "Chalky" exaggerated West Indian voice.

Back in the day I used to think he was brilliant. His show was by far the funniest thing on TV = apart from Dave Allen. Absolutely adored him

But if ever there was proof that you should never meet your idols he is it. Went from hero to zero in less than 6 weeks.

Having said that he has been a lot better in the house than I expected and I admire him for the restraint he has shown towards some very trying people. Perhaps old dogs can learn new tricks or then again....

What people tend to forget is that Jim is a showman, he is good at ad lib and makes people laugh, it's a natural ability he has, he was a very successful host of a few game shows, he is just from a different era and is set in his ways, there is too much PC nonsense around these days whereas 20-30 years or more ago, people never would have batted an eyelid at what he says and that's just all it is. He probably thought, why should I change?

I youtubed Jim's comedy routines last week just to see what all the fuss was about. His "chalky" sketch was not my cup of tea. Nor was his mocking of the Special Olympics participants. I know comedians like to take the mick out of people in the public eye, but there was something uncomfortable about him mocking the most vulnerable in society.

Sinderella isn't like that at all just a crude funny panto. Think what made it better was the fact Charlie Drake got drunk between the acts.

One of my Aunties when to see Sinderella about twenty years ago and laughed so much she nearly passed out. I think he also did one called "Boobs in the Wood".

I used to enjoy JD back in the day, not so much just recently because he has become somewhat of a car crash but he can still be funny and has been in the house imo.Trouble is that he never moved with the times as far as his humour is concerned............I guess old habits die hard, I am actually liking him a little more now in the house though but that may be because there are some quite awful characters in there.

It was pretty obvious (to me) that Jasmine followed Jim out into the garden last night possibly hoping he'd go off on one.

He's a comedic dinosaur, with jokes from a time that should be forgotten.

I was taken to see him at a theatre, I really wasn't keen, I ended up crying with laughter most of the evening, he was so funny, some of it was near the mark but it was an X rated show, people had a good idea what to expect.....He has a great delivery when telling jokes, if anyone else told them they wouldn't be funny.

And the forum would explode lol.

I hope he manages to keep it together.
