When someone leaves a message for me on voicemail it can be 2 to 3 days before I get a text notification that I have a message, I have to go to voicemail every couple of hours to check that I haven't missed any calls. Spoke to customer services who told me to deactivate voicemail and then reactivate it then it would sort itself out. I have been through the voicemail menus and cannot find anything, before I phone them back is there anyone on here with the same problem, when with Vodafone it was never an issue.
Thanks in anticipation.

I always get voicemail text notifications instantly. If you're still having trouble then contact CS.

I just tested my phone as i don't use voicemail & have never activated it but if I don't take a call goes to voicemail anyway. I refuse to pay 30p to listen to a message. Why not just txt when u don't get through?

PAYG customers pay by the minute either from their PAYG add-on allowance or from their credit.

Well, I just had a missed call and a text message telling me about 2 new voicemails. Dialed the number, the first message was actually from last week and I never got a text message back then!

Is that actually a Three problem or have other networks got the same problem? I don't get that many voicemails, so can't really say if this was an one off.

Some networks (O2/Voda) often send texts for voicemail, but Orange, T-Mobile and EE always send the "voicemail" indication which on the old Nokia handsets put up the "tape spool" indicator. Some O2 and some Voda contracts can do this as well.

Three's voicemail system is a bit strange to be honest.

Thanks guys for that info, thought it was only happening to me. Try changing your voicemail message and see if that works.

It's a bit weird on mine as well.

When I phone voicemail I get a broken recorded message that goes something like 'welcome t. ..ree's .oicemail service'

If you imagine the dots not being heard. Very amateurish, but other than that it works ok.

I actually popped into their shop to ask this and was told it is free as long as I don't listen it but I listen it they charge 25p per voice message!

And I am on sim only one plan monhtly contract, so I don't think it is free or shop staff have no idea what they are talking about.

This.

It's free on the one plan.

Retail staff in general don't know much at all, it's one of my major gripes with stores as they often mislead customers or have no actual knowledge of their operator. I'm surprised they're not trained better.

Have just gone online as I'm on the One plan contract and I haven't been charged for any calls to voicemail.

What was interesting though is that they did say that a long text message that takes up two pages will be classed as a picture message and will be charged for regardless.
