I'm going to Portugal and reckon the best way to access the internet whilst there would be to get hold of a local data SIM.

Any ideas on how and where to find one before I go as all the SIMs I've seen intended for travellers are quite pricey - at about 25p per megabyte.

If I end up having to get one there, any recommendations as to which to go for and do they sell them at Faro airport?

European roaming deals on UK networks aren't so bad these days particularly if you're not into very heavy use.

What network are you on?

If T mob work on the same principal as their parent company EE then its cheaper to just buy the 6gb data add on that they offer . As others have said there is free wifi everywhere Mc D's , hotels , bars . Some of it is open to anyone so you done eve need to ask for the key ! Last year some of the restaurants had the key just the name of the establishment !
