Really?
I know hyperbole is the go to function for many on this forum but saying "Britain would be a better place if BB & CBB were axed" is lunacy. The show doesn't really mean that much to many people, perhaps it does to you, but I doubt people would be rolling out the bunting and heralding a brighter Britain if Channel 5 were to stop airing it.
Also don't understand your point about HM's appearing on other shows. It's not 2002 anymore. Long gone are the days when the housemates were on the front pages of magazines, guests on Graham Norton and invited onto Radio 1. At best, they get an interview in the Daily Star and a slot on BBOTS. It's nowhere near as pervasive as it used to be. Perhaps you're confusing Big Brother housemates with X Factor contestants, who still do command a lot of media attention after leaving the show.
Or perhaps, as I suspect may be the case, you're just one of several delighting in a thread that encourages relentless negativity about a show you're making a choice to watch.
