What's awful? The single?

Yes, in my opinion, and I love Paloma!

The song previews have been put up on iTunes, and after listening, I find myself REALLY excited for the album. Most of the songs are quite uptempo, but the melodies and lyrics still carry her captivating melancholy, which makes it even better. I really can't wait!

It took me some time to warm up to her second album after loving her first, I love both albums now, Just Be is one of the best piano-only songs I've heard.

Does anyone know if the album will be released in the US at the same time of its European release?

I love the first single release - her voice sounds amazing and I think that she needed something a little fresh to spice things up.... the cover art for the album is great .... and from the song released on preorder ...its sounds classic Paloma to me. I really like the video too.

Now she's complaining that the radio stations aren't playing this record.

I'm not surprised, it sounds just like Pharrells last record.

Right, the song just isn't very good so doesn't deserve heavy rotation.

Thankfully, the snippets from the rest of the album sound very promising so Just Can't Rely On You appears to be the only dud.

It's a crap song, and clearly radio think so too

Qutie frankly she has a point.

The utter dross that's on the radio at present is appalling. At least Paloma possesses vocal talent.

the album sounds quite retro, i am glad i pre-ordered it. the pharrell, plan b tracks are quite obvious and there is the definitely amy winehouse influences in there too. i don't dislike anything, but "only love can hurt like this" is by far the stand-out track., its possibly one of the best songs she's recorded.

LOVE the album. Distinct Paloma to me. Like a mix of both her previous albums

Somebody said on twitter that the album is like "Amy Winehouse meets Prince" and I agree.

'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' reminds me of Amy's rendition of 'Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow', both absolutely stunning songs and I agree that this song is one of her best yet. Could even do well as a single, though we know Paloma's singles and albums are two entirely different topics together. Put it this way, 'Can't Rely On You' doesn't reflect the album at all.

I love 'Mouth To Mouth' too, reminds me of of some 70s disco come 90s theme, can't quite put my finger on what.

Parts of Mouth to Mouth sound very Million Dollar Bill by Whitney.

Apparently Paloma's got some promo lined up next week for the album.

It's a shame The Graham Norton Show & Chatty Man both aren't airing, she could've done those slots (though she was only on TGNS about three weeks ago). I believe she's doing This Morning at some point next week.

Oh lord
I don't what to say really. Not liking it at all at the moment. The type of album where in the past i have brought it because i like the artist but have only listed to it for a week and then never again. Love the sound she has gone with though. Only love can hurt like this is beautiful though. Should be a single.

Number 2 in midweeks, apparently it's very close, though.

There's 6,500 copies between her and the current #1 so she could do but it is very close. I hope she does get it as FTG was #1 in the mid-weeks but fell at the last hurdle.

i am really enjoying the album, it is much more upbeat than her last album with some very motown-alike melodies. I think her last album was so under appreciated and is better but this album is still very good and after the second listen I think it is a grower...
