Defective batch of Heinz Beans?
Greg The Man

I bought a job lot of Heinz Beans six packs a couple of weeks ago as they were on offer in Morrisons. They are all dated 2015, so I thought it was a good deal. However most of the cans have a few dark, crunchy beans in them, that taste foul. Am I the only one suffering with a crappy breakfast or is this problem more widespread?

Years ago I bought an egg custard in a jar for my daughter ( she was a baby then so I'm talking 26 yrs ago.) Anyhow,
I wrote to Heinz enclosing some of the 'brush bristles' I found in the jar - God the letter came back almost accusing me of being a liar to the point of threatening me! They gave me a £1 in vouchers! How naive was I?
These days I would have taken it further!

So, write to them & see what they say - don't let them palm you off.

Get your money back OP and head to Aldi, stock up on their "corale" branded beans. Nicer than Heinz and cheaper in price.

Do they taste like regular baked beans.

I remember Heinz brought out some flavoured beans - curry and bbq and they had darker beans, similar to kidney beans but not as big (maybe baby kidney beans).
Possibly the wrong labels have been applied to the tins. But you would definitely notice the flavour difference.

Everything Heinz went down the pan years ago.

Lidl, Aldi, Branston baked beans are better.

Sainsburys ketchup is much better than Heinz.

Tomato soup from Lidl is just as good as Heinz, if not better.
