The Twistathon On Ice - Series 1 - Show 3
After the first two shows saw the couples split into two halves we waved goodbye first to Alex (VesperVent) & Melanie in show 1 followed by Eliza (puppylove7) & Matt in show 2
![]() Now the remaining 10 couples will merge for the first time to take on “Dance Classics” For this they had to submit a suitable song choice that was deemed to be a “dance” song. As well as this they had to choose an outfit for themselves OR their pro partner. They were allowed to submit links, or write a description about the outfit or both. The couples were also informed that this shows twist would mean that whoever finished in the top 5 on the judges leader board would gain a 2 point vote advantage when the lines open at the end of the show. The 5 couples who finish on the bottom half of the judges leader board however, will incur a 2 point vote penalty when lines are opened. Let’s remind ourselves of the couples competing in this series of Twistathon On Ice ……………Alex (VesperVent) & Melanie Lambert - ELIMINATED Eliza (puppylove7) & Matt Evers - ELIMINATED Jack (jacksinclairx) & Vicky Ogden Jamie (DingDong08) & Nina Ulanova JJ (justj) & Katie Stainsby Mitch (pothuthic) & Maria Filipov Myk (ChickenFromKiev) & Alexandra Schaumann Niall (_NiallDEE_) & Brianne Delcourt Rhian (RhiBi) & Daniel Whiston Ross (rosco2010) & Robin Johnstone Stuart (Stuart25) & Kristina Lenko Tom (hownwbrowncow) & Frankie Poultney |

Niall & Brianne
Connor: 2.0
Dean: 1.5 Izzie: 2.0 Jas’: 1.5 Nick: 3.5 Nick: Whilst the song didn't have much energy or fun, the outfit matched the mood wonderfully. It was a nice concept for a dance but I'd consider whether the actual song is exciting or has any wow factor. So it was a great attempt and an average dance. A slight drop from their last score sees them score a total of 10.5 |

Hoping they can improve on their round 1 score of 10.0, it’s Tom (hownwbrowncow) & Frankie Poultney
………………Song Choice: ‘I Could Be The One’ from Avicii Female Outfit: Link I chose this costume, because it reflects the story in the music video, in which a woman with a boring life, dreams of having a fun side of her life in which she parties and gets laid, so that is shown in the two sides of the costume - one side plain and one side colourful. |

Tom & Frankie
Connor: 1.5
Dean: 2.0 Izzie: 2.5 Jas’: 3.0 Nick: 4.5 Dean: I loved the song. I hated the costume. For me you could of been a bit more adventurous with it. In addition, you were lazy. Yes you gave and explanation for it, but you could of put some more effort in by adding your own changes to the outfit A nice improvement sees them score a total of 13.5

Hoping to avoid tonight’s skate off, please welcome onto the ice, Ross (rosco2010) & Robin Johnstone
........... Song Choice: ‘Doop’ by Doop Female Outfit: She will be wearing a traditional charleston style outfit, modified to suit dancing on the ice. Similar to this, with black and gold skates instead of shoes. Link |

Ross & Robin
Connor: 1.0
Dean: 1.5 Izzie: 3.0 Jas’: 1.5 Nick: 4.0 Izzie: 'Although this wasn't strictly the style of music that comes to mind when you think of 'dance', it actually really worked and had a quirkiness that gave real potential for storyline. When you're choosing outfits though, just keep in mind the length and any loose attachments, given the lifts and transitions that are required.' They also take a slight drop from their first round performance, but still manage to score a total of 11.0

Back on the ice to skate next, please give it up for Myk (ChickenFromKiev) & Alexandra Schaumann
……………Song Choice: ‘She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)' by David Guetta ft Sia Female Outfit: The female will be wearing something like this: Link but instead of the gradient being from purple to pink, it's from dark blue to grey, to match with the theme of the song. Also, there is no sleeve on the left side, instead it has a dark blue strap like the other arm. |

Myk & Alexandra
Connor: 3.0
Dean: 3.0 Izzie: 3.5 Jas’: 3.0 Nick: 3.0 Jas’: Yes, you had a good concept but you could've put slightly more detail in and it could've been so much better like a lot of the other routines this round. The highest a couple has increased from their previous score so far, gives them a total of 15.5 and beats the highest score of the series from JJ last round

Jack & Vicky
Connor: 1.0
Dean: 2.5 Izzie: 1.5 Jas’: 1.0 Nick: 1.5 Connor: A predictable song choice and not much description of the costume. Compared to some of the others, this was one of the weakest of the night. Sorry. Not quite as good as their first performance. It leaves them with a total of just 7.5 the lowest of the night so far. But if you don’t want them to go you can vote for them when lines open shortly

The next couple to venture onto the ice in front of the judges is Stuart (Stuart25) & Kristina Lenko
………….Song Choice: ‘Lola’s Theme’ from The Shapeshifters Female Outfit: Link (with more coverage in the top half) I went for this Samba inspired outfit because it is a party dress, and the song is a party song. I decided to choose yellow because the song is quite a restrained dance song and I think yellow reflects that as opposed to red/blue etc. |

Stuart & Kristina
Connor: 2.5
Dean: 2.0 Izzie: 4.0 Jas’: 3.0 Nick: 2.5 Jas’: Decent song choice but to get higher marks you need to put more effort and detail into the description. And after the judges scores that gives them a total of 14.0. A notable improvement on their last performance

Rhian & Daniel
Connor: 2.0
Dean: 1.0 Izzie: 1.5 Jas’: 1.0 Nick: 2.5 Nick: I'm not a fan of links which is why I can't give you much higher. The song was superb and the rhythm and tempo was spot on. My main issue was that it was a link and nothing else, even if you added on a few sentence why you choose it and how you could change it I would have increased your score. A disappointing score from their first performance means they only score 8.0. But it’s not up to the judges once the lines open

JJ & Katie
Connor: 2.0
Dean: 1.5 Izzie: 2.0 Jas’: 1.0 Nick: 1.5 Izzie: 'With this song, you had a lot of potential, but unfortunately you didn't quite capitalise on it. I'm not expecting epic descriptions, you just need a little extra detail - such as the cut of the top and trousers - to give us a greater insight and get those higher marks.' Another disappointing drop means they only score a total of 8.0

Hoping not to fall foul to the judges in the same way, or indeed to fall at all on the ice
It’s Jamie (DingDong08) & Nina Ulanova ……………Song Choice: 'Sobe Son' from Miami Sound Machine Female Outfit: The female is wearing a brightly-coloured dress, to compliment the Latin feel of the song. The bodice is a mixture of fuchsia pink and sunset orange, which are patterned in a diagonal set of stripes across the centre of the bodice. The dress has two thin straps (which are a sparkly pink) and has a low-cut back, to add to the 'sexy' vibe of the female's costume. The lower half of the dress is a crimson red and travels down to the bottom of the thighs, which is finished with a small amount of ruffles at the very bottom of it - continuing the party feel. The skates have been left nude, so as to give the appearance that the female is bare-footed. On the female's right wrist are three bangles, coloured orange, pink and red to match the dress, and her hair is curled and left loose and wavy. |

Jamie & Nina
Connor: 3.5
Dean: 2.5 Izzie: 4.0 Jas’: 3.5 Nick: 4.5 Connor: This was a great routine and I'm impressed with the effort that has gone into it. I liked the song choice, however it felt a little frantic at times but I applaud your originality That catapults them to the top of the leader board so far tonight with the highest total of the series so far of 18.0 out of a possible 30.0

...........Song Choice: ‘He’s The Greatest Dancer’ from Sister Sledge Male Outfit: The male outfit is a silver and gold sequin top He will be wearing black trousers (like seen on the show). His skates will be bright silver. |

Mitch & Maria
Connor: 2.5
Dean: 3.5 Izzie: 4.0 Jas’: 1.5 Nick: 4.5 Dean: Favourite of the night. Admittedly your outfit could of done with some more detail, but you chose the harder gender in my eyes to impress with. In addition a classic disco dance song. The second highest of the night gives them a total of 16.0

So now all of our couples have skated, let’s see how the leader board stands..............
LEADER BOARD 1. Jamie (DingDong08) & Nina – 18.0 2. Mitch (pothuthic) & Maria – 16.0 3. Myk (ChickenFromKiev) & Alexandra – 15.5 4. Stuart (Stuart25) & Kristina – 14.0 5. Tom (hownwbrowncow) & Frankie – 13.5 6. Ross (rosco2010) & Robin – 11.0 7. Niall (_NiallDEE_) & Brianne – 10.5 8=Rhian (RhiBi) & Daniel – 8.0 8=JJ (justj) & Katie – 8.0 10.
