They will probably let Capaldi battle them in his 1st series this year so I have to ask what should they do in their episode? They have invaded, asked The Doctor for help and even joined Churchill during WW2 so what can do that will be fresh?

As much as most people don't like them, I'd love to explore the roles of the New Paradigm Daleks, one episode at a time? We could have a Strategist episode, a Scientist episode, a Drone episode, and then perhaps a story exploring the mysteriously named Eternal Dalek. That would be four completely different stories that give the Daleks more of a character without compromising their menace, and with the Bronze Daleks still getting the bulk of the action. It could eventually lead to a big two-part Dalek plot led by the Supreme in a few years time, if they were to restrict these themed Dalek episodes to one episode a series for a few years. Perhaps an eventual resurgence from Davros, or maybe get that amazing Emperor Dalek from The Eternity Clock realised on television.

I think this would give the Daleks longevity, and avoids the end-of-the-world repetitive storylines they seem to be constantly given. They wouldn't even need to confine every story to Earth... why not have a story involving a Dalek invasion of another world and the Doctor happens to stumble across it...perhaps something smaller scale where The Doctor's goal isn't to achieve a victory over the Daleks but merely to escape the situation he finds himself in?

This would all go a long way to redeem the Paradigm and would give the Daleks a greater sense of variety within NuWho, giving them reason to reappear every year or two without over-exposing them

The Doctor is missing Handles his companion of many hundreds of years so brings a damaged Dalek aboard the TARDIS.

All weapons including self destruct have been disabled so apart from occasionally trying to push the Doctor down the stairs "Plunge" as the Doctor calls him is reduced to issuing death threats and being sarcastic to the Doctor.

Overall, I'd like more small scale Dalek stories, something that doesn't involve the absolute fate of the entire universe. The Series 4 finale killed that idea for me forever.

The amount of Daleks we see is limited to the number of actual Dalek props they can fit onto the set.

A more darker Revelation Of The Dalek's sort of story or series of stories running over a few years. I always found the basis of Revelation very scary and dark at the time and still pretty much so today.

The idea of harvesting humans or another race to make a new breed of Dalek's (in the same Dalek outer shell of cause) could be a new direction for the Dalek's and lay things out for a future pure Dalek's civil war with perhaps the Doctor having to or be forced to help 1 side or another at some point. Would certainly be something different if the BBC ran with something like that with the Dalek's. They could run with that as a series of a few Dalek stories through out Capaldi's era ending with a full return of Gallifrey in a future Dalek story that a new breed of human harvested Dalek's manage to bring back in the hope or to help defeat the pure supreme Daleks?.

Ah, I missed that, I was focussed on the head.

And I didn't even say that that the first name I hand in mind for a Dalek head was 'bell end'..

I would really like a Dalek space opera, a la Masterplan, with an Emperor and a Black Dalek Supreme.

Defeating or severely weakening the Daleks is key to making the universe safe enough for the Timelords to return. Capaldi needs to materialise his tardis around Oswin/Dalek just at the point the asylum is blown up and save her. He needs to use real Clara to show Oswin there is still hope for her, in one lifetime she is still alive and survives as a human. She then needs to help Capaldi to severely weaken the Daleks using her inside knowledge, probably through self-sacrifice by delivering herself into dalek parliament and sending some form of self-destruct or emotion wave to all daleks simultaneously.

Therafter, in a later episode, the only way for the Dalek race to be born again is the release of the prisoner Davros who must build the Dalek race again.......

How about a story where the Doctor and a lone Dalek are stranded together on a planet, and only by overcoming their differences and working together can they survive?

... no?

It's time they had another rest to be honest, but with a new Doctor coming I can't see it happening.

Time for a Dalek companion, perhaps?

Is it wrong my first reaction was ... Sex tape?

Seriously - a morally challanged Dalek, um maybe a story with an alternative Daveos. A scientist experimenting on Daleks to make them "good" but in an ethically challanged way.

I wouldn't mind seeing this actually. It'd be more interesting if the scientist in question wasn't human too... I think it's time to broaden the scope of the Daleks beyond just Timelords and humans.

I always wondered why it was only Earth that seemed to fight back against Davros and co. in The Stolen Earth. I guess it would have been daft to see crowds of panicking Absorbaloff's on Klom looking up at planets in the sky, but still...

Also, how about all the new paradigm daleks have a clone of Davros in them?....

Love to see an actual purpose for the eternal dalek, something deadly that's not a 'take over earth' scenario

I was thinking about the Daleks in bed last night (I was watching Time of the Doctor) and I realised the Timelords returning would mean destroying or severely lowering the numbers of Daleks to stop another Time War.
I thought it would be a good story if the Daleks were wiped out or damaged. In my mind I called the episode Extinction of the Daleks.
