The 2nd series of hit sitcom Uncle on BBC Three starts next Tuesday 10th Feb at 10pm. Excellent news! I love this show, it was really really good and Nick Helm was fantastic in it.
He also won the Best Comedy Breakthrough Artist award at the 2014 British Comedy Awards in December. |

I hope they make more us the vignette style of music video, as they did in the first series. Absolutely loved, "No Survivors."

Catching up now on iPlayer, didnt realise it was a new series.
The lad's voice has gone a bit wobbly... |

Amazed there's not more comment on this now it's returned. Excellent opening episode, lots of laughs.

I like how they referenced it in the first ep of this series |

This is the funniest thing on TV, The interaction between the 2 protagonists is class.. the kid is older but hasn't lost an ounce of his dry delivery.. The Uncle is as cuddly and cute as ever, loved the carpet manager loving all his attempts to get sacked...

Uncle is now the second BBC3 programme I've watched (Bluestone 42 was the first) … and I think I like it.
![]() I caught up with the first series on iPlayer last week and have now seen episode one of the new series. Finding it a great mix of silly and character humour, with some pretty poignant moments thrown in. I agree, the Errol actor has great delivery; I think all the cast is good too. Looking forward to seeing a bit more of the sister's counselling work! Maybe I would prefer the musical interludes being shorter, but that's about the only criticism. I hope the standard is maintained through series two. |

The lack of posts on this thread since it came back seem to confirm my view that this is nowhere near as good as the first series. The dynamic is just a bit weird now his voice has broken and the humour between them seems forced. Frost on his own and interacting with other characters is still as good as ever and it'd be better if they focused more on that instead of trying to engineer scenes with the kid.
Disappointed. |

Watched the second episode tonight. Really liked it, although last week's opener was a lot funnier. We need that camp Scottish Asian guy back! He is hilarious!
![]() Errol's voice has broken so he doesn't quite sound the same which is a little bit off-putting but the dynamic and chemistry is still there with Nick Helm as Andy. I liked Andy's failed attempt to try and impress Teresa. Raquel Cassidy is so god damn hot! I don't know what his problem is, bang the hell out of her! So's Andy's sister! Errol's dancing on Skype was lol. |

Watched both episodes last night and it's as good as last series.
A different dynamic with Errol being older but now have more scope for different storylines such as him trying to be cool and being a bad boy ![]() Liked the opening scene when he was younger and then it cut to him with his voice broken. |

I'm not sure it's as good as the last series, but I'm developing a serious crush on Daisy Haggard.

This is such a fantastic, original and funny show - much like Catastrophe - but, sadly, people are used to being force fed mainstream mediocrity like Miranda, My Family, Harry Hill, McIntyre.
I love this show but no-one I know - even the ones who would love it as much as me - have never even heard of it, which is such a shame. |

I loved the first series,and found episodes 1 & 2 of series
two to be missing 'something'. I feared it had lost it and turned into a beeb 'written by numbers' sitcom. BUT...last nights episode (Ep3) with the recording and the final video, was superb! It was MUSIC that had been lacking in eps 1 & 2 and all was well again, back to whatever it was that made it 'special' for me! (I am a retired musician as it goes!) |

Really good episode. Val is becoming a likeable character which is great, they need to write that lot into it more and have a little less of Sam/Bruce/Ben.
Plus Gwen was fit in that music video. |
