It's no different to when O2/giffgaff say "it's a minor localised issue" on their scheduled monthly outage, that just happens to affect lots of people from Penzance to Glasgow.

My 3G was playing up earlier at work, which is odd as I normally have a great signal there. I was just getting E or H and nothing was loading.

That fixed itself and then I had a bit of trouble sending normal text messages. I made a phone call, it went through, and then my SMS sent no problem.

Same here, a number of colleagues around the UK are having Voda issues, calls not forwarding, calls not connecting etc.

Do a search on Voda and it shows no issues

Yep something is up as I had a few failed called attempts this afternoon in London although they did eventually go through and since I got home sending txts have been struggle too. Data seemed ok throughout and everything seems to be back for me at the moment.

And clearly a spike on downdetector this afternoon/evening

British telecoms companies including BT and Vodafone have given GCHQ unlimited access to customers' phone calls, email messages and Facebook entries
Its all very out of control

T-mobile / EE have some issues with customers who have lost their allowances today too.

Vodafone on this issue say on Twitter "Some customers may be experiencing intermittent phone issues today. We're working hard to resolve this & apologise for any inconvenience."

That may be backscatter from Vodafone.

As in failed text messages and dropped calls to Vodafone's customers.

They seem to have lost all 4G coverage across Leicester both on my Samsung S4 and friends IPhone 5S we have both travelled around the city and tried restarts of phones.

I lost 3G services in SO30 twice earlier. This happened once before and could be resolved by turning 3G off. Internet flakey and calls not connecting. It's back now.
Conincidently, some family members have been having issues with 2G in North Baddessley (been happening for a few days though) and something not working in Chandlers Ford too.

I should add when I tried to make a call using 3G it dived down to Searching/No Service.
