Manual tuning/chanel deleting
mztiller
16-01-2014
Hi All...

I live on the edge of three areas and get a lot of extra channels when I do an autotune so I have to do it manually on just the channels from oxford
I know to my cost that the youview DTR1000 does not have the facility to manual tune like my old 9300T...
does the HDR2000 or the HDR FOX T2 allow you to manual tune and delete unwanted channels?

Thanks for any input

Mark

Both allow manual tuning and the deletion of unwanted channels. For the HDR-FOX T2 only, the custom firmware has a package where you can specify unwanted channels and they will be automatically deleted after a retune.

It all depends on your requirements. Currently only the HDR-FOX T2 will run the custom firmware and for some the additional functionality is essential. I wanted a new box a couple of months ago mainly for my technophobe partner to use and bought an HDR-2000T which is working well, although the inability to be sure whether the box is in standby or recording is irritating and the lack of aerial feed through in standby is stupid (but may get fixed in a software update).
