What a despicable man .......I fully expect that there has been a hell of a lot of these 'Blackpool' type quips = he's letting Linda know - watch yourself - I know things - I can get nasty.

It explains an awful lot. I bet he could kick himself now as she cracked and told the others (well told them a bit) - I wish she'd just come clean and tell it all and then it would be clear to them what all the 'innocent' little jibes have been.

He's a nasty man.”

I am not a Linda fan at all but people on here seem blind to what Jim is doing. He stirs it up, then when it blows up, says he doesn't want to talk about it, and walks away. Thus making people thinking he should be applauded at being so calm - and not having a slanging match. Its very calculated and he is very good at it, I'll give him that!

Well we have one example where she IS irrational and stuff clearly IS all in her head because he did not call her "arsehole" which seemed to be the point that annoyed her the most, because she went on and on and one about it.

Are you watching the same programme he did not call her an arsehold - was talking to Louisa and Linda decided once more to dive in and have another go. She has goaded him from day one spouting poison and bring up his past and mentioning an incident years ago - he mentioned an incident and then lost the plot - now sympathy vote for the vile individual what horrible individuals these Nolans are first Colleen and now Linda.

She took the bait and I do not think that it has assisted any future career hopes. Frank Carson was Jim and Linda's friend and Jim's loyalty was to Frank. I assume he threw the line to warn her to back off, especially as he repeatedly asked her to stop and they could discuss things in the morning, when things were calmer and no doubt the wine would not be doing the talking, but she refused to drop it. She knew he was cheesed off and has been wanting him to react since she entered. Also, she did not take it too well that she had been saved owing to being rather boring and thus in my opinion needed a little bit of drama to raise her profile.

I'm not a Jim Davidson fan at all. It doesn't mean that you have to support another HM who clearly has an agenda against him. I don't like Jim, he would wind me up no doubt at all. However, Linda is behaving like a miserable, vindictive person and will be judged accordingly.

I've read a lot of posts from people who don't like JIm but who find themselves supporting him over this incident.

My reaction to his, "And it doesn't bother you that you don't have a man in your life?" was exactly the same as Linda's.

WTF?!

He has admitted to being a male chauvinist. He doesn't like women, he can't deal with them standing up to him or questioning his motives. Linda thought that he had called her an arsehole, but he didn't deny it, just told her to go to bed and bin her anger (he told Lee not to bottle his anger up and to let it out, but he's a man you know). He likes to dismiss women's complaints and walk off, making out that they are behaving irrationally. It is all very calculated.

He knows he slipped up with his Frank Carson's dressing room comment. His lying was pathetic. Even trying to blame it on Luisa, despite telling her yo ask Linda about it.

Very low.

I can't for the life of me see why anyone would be offended by that question.

No. Jim brought up his daughter later when he was outside in the garden.

Jim's comment "It doesn't bother you that you don't have a man?" was in direct responce to Luisa saying how much she enjoys spending time with her daughter.

Neither can I. Absolutely bewildered by it. Linda just WANTED a row. She was desperate for it.

Absolutely SPOT on. I don't like the man, have made no secret of the fact, but in the interest of fairness haven't always thought he was wrong in certain scenarios. However, I was stunned at the level he sunk to last night. There really was such cruelty behind the whole "ask her about Frank Carsons Dressing room".
Moreover, to involve another housemate was disgusting as was his lying and self serving apology.

God he's despicable.

Horrible, odious little man.

If Linda hadn't found a problem with it then i guarantee nobody else would have thought anything of the comment. It's because of Linda going over the top that people think there is a reason to be offended by it.

what's wrong with him asking that question ? it's a fair question though isn't it - i'd expect that question from a man from Jim's generation ! It wasn't nasty, it wasn't vindictive, it was just a bloomin question - it was another excuse for Linda to turn the atmosphere into a negative and blame Jim - he was just trying to join in the conversation from where I was sitting. She's over sensitive, touchy and volatile with Jim - and only with Jim. I think Jim went too far, of course, anyone with half a brain and some sensitivity at all would agree, but until he said that, she was goading and unpleasant.

I have only responded to you in this thread to correct the inaccurate information you have posted. I have not speculated on why Jim made the statement.

This is the complete exchange.

a comment which didn't warrant Linda berating him for interjecting into the conversation between her and Luisa

I have then commented that I didn't think there was anything wrong with Jim asking Luisa that question ! - and after all his marriages and children from them, I doubt Jim was on the moral high ground !!!
