Alf Garnett was the same, he was also ridiculing the mentality of racists, but that doesnt stop people today saying he was racist.

I was wondering how long the race card would be brought up, BB will use it guaranteed ,so they can try and destroy Jim , they let carol do it against Ron last year. Louis Walsh didn't even know him but carol poisoned him to vote to get him out. Jim is popular and they don't want him to win . He has Entertained thousands of troops over the years who loved him. Are they all racist. We have a music award called the MOBO, musicians of black origin, could you imagine if there was one just for white people. My wife has just been made redundant after 30 years by are local council. The only jobs that was made available on the council,was for people of Ethnic minority only ,so she is now unemployed. Is that fair. I cannot abide racism in any form,but I think I'm sensible enough to know when a person is serious or not. There is people in the house who are using anything and everything to put Jim down, not because he is being a nasty person,it's because they can see how popular he is and one him out. I personally ain't that bothered if he wins or not,, BB pick the winner no matter what, so my money is going to be on Ollie or Sam , as it will promote there TV shows even more.

Nasty Roman soldier comes along and takes me back to Rome as a slave...

I die there as I wasn't really a useful slave with any skills.

My children know the Romans took me..

They tell their kids about it...

The family line continues to the present day...


When do I come to terms with the fact my ancestor was taken into the slave trade....

Rome was an equal opportunity slave trader....

And before you say its ancient history and at the moment the ancestors of black slaves still face persecution and racism.

It is from a minority of "whites".

If you want the racism to stop then integrate within the community. I don't mean adopt our values and become something you're not.

Also to say "whites" don't suffer racism is offensive to all the Romanians Serbians Romany Irish Scottish Welsh French German and the rest of the mixed population we have in this very accepting country.

Although I am not offended on their behalf.

Britain is beautiful wonderful and accepting, ethnic diversity is amazing.

But every time a different countries populous arrives in the country certain uneducated types feel the need to oppress them.

Happened with the Irish, Jamaicans, Africans, Indians. And all the other countries I haven't listed.

I'll give a quick story,

I'm born in Essex moved to Lincolnshire, have a different accent, not quite Essex, not quite Lincolnshire, last night I went into a pub for a party. This pub was two yes two miles from my house, the barmaid/owner was cleaning glasses I asked for a drink and she said in a moment can she just finish, I said sure of course, then a man walked in and referred to her by name, she responded with "the usual" he nodes and poured a drink, then continued with cleaning glasses. Another person who was already in the bar came up to her and she said "same glass?" He nodded and she served him. She eventually finished the cleaning and turned to me, I said my order and paid and took my drinks to the table.

I shall not be going to that pub again.

that is all very well if you live in a house,not so good if you live in a flat,and the bloke next door had the families shoes outside the front door.

Sorry to hear about your wifes redundancy.I agree with you,my council is also far too interested in "diversity" than actually providing a practical service for "all".It's a modern disease !
