If Emma can't remain neutral she should not be a presenter, re Casey & Lee, who knows what was said with the taps on, re Jim & Linda surely she could have mentioned the way Linda has been goading Jim from day 1 and FCD may well be the cause no-one likes to see people who are aware of an embarrassing incident in the past.

Davina was the same.
Rachel BB9 she had just won and the way Davina treated her. I truly would have left and let Davina makeup whatever she wanted.
It's always been one of the more unprofessional aspects of Bigbrother UK

Agree--also why did she explain the facts re: Frank Carson's dressing room theft, then go on about how it was wrong to talk about crimes involving dead people? The man was tried & convicted and punished so it's a matter of Public Record. Does Emma feel we should never speak of Adolf Hitler or Al Capone 'because they are dead'?? WTF?? Nobody said anything remotely libellous, just facts.

I don't think we can really expect the presenter of a spin-off show for a reality TV series to remain impartial. It's not like it's Newsnight or anything ... mind you even they don't remain impartial! It's only Big Brother not PMQ's, she's not the Speaker of the House.

Well, I was on here during the night and there was a lot of libel with very little fact

She's a presenter, not a journalist. Presenters present, they don't report. Liz has actually taken the supposed neutrality out of journalism by steeping everything she writes in her own opinions.

I have no problem with presenters ON NON-NEWS SHOWS putting their personalities into the shows.

As far as her saying that at the beginning--I think you'd find that was something written by the producers as somewhat of a disclaimer and also to stop speculation about what happened. I think the difference between them saying it was wrong to bring it up and the panel discussing it is just that--Jim was wrong to bring it up and it was bang out of order. It was intended to be the blow that it was. Once it was out then it pretty much became a valid talking point. Jim had done the intended damage and the discussion went on to be about the furor from the comment.

Obviously this is only my opinion.

Oh it would be so much easier if this forum had a like button

I like her, but she's never been good at neutrality. Russell Brand handled it very well I think, always tried to be fair. I think they should ditch BBBOTS as its mostly rubbish and get a new presenter and try to make it more like when Russell Brand conducted simple debate and showed clips. And either better guests or no guests.

It is a competition, though, and a competition should be seen to be fair and above board.

Emma always has been biased she is a pathetic individual and the way she treats a lot of the attractive yong girls is nasty IMO. Who does she think she is having the crowd stand up for her she she comes down the stairs on BBBOTS.

I miss BBLB just BBBOTS isn't the same....

Emma is still a great host she's the best since Davina. I think Rylan is better at BBBOTS though.

Perhaps they are not required to remain neutral. And are viewers so influenced by the presenters?

It bothers me sometimes when she clearly has a favorite then develops amnesia over stuff that makes her fave look bad but it's not that serious y'all.

Learning very quickly that people on DS don't like a lot of things lol.

Emma is a great presenter, on the main show and a bit on the side.

And, as I;ve said on another thread, it should be neutral when viewers are paying to vote.

oh lord, calling her 'a pathetic individual' seems a bit harsh, don't you think? and do you think it is actually her idea to have people stand up when she comes down the stairs? surely that's just a bit of fun. no one -- esp her -- is pretending she's royalty. if anything, it feels like a good natured parody.

She's a very biased presenter and should be replaced.

Emma is simply dreadful as a presenter IMO.

Her bias is just ridiculous, her interview technique severely lacking, and her asking of the most pertinent questions non existent.

Other than that, she's ok I suppose.

Well Rylan said on This morning (ITV)
When Ruth and eamonn mentioned Frank Carson Gate.
"I'm a presenter and must remain neutral" and went all serious

He certainly had a favourite in Dan from the last civvie BB

(Totally unrelated, I've seen a few posters putting BIB in their posts, I've finally found out it means Bit In Bold, although I had a worrying few seconds as alot of google links said it meant Bus Induced Boner )
