After talking to Luisa about Linda, Jim told her to ask Linda about Frank Carson's dressing room. Then, after Luisa told him in the bedroom in front of the others that he told her to ask Linda about this, he then blatantly lied and told her that he said "what about Frank Carson's dressing room?". That's not what he said, he definitely told her to ask Linda about Frank Carson's dressing room. He's definitely trying to stir up trouble in there. The way he said "did I?" to Luisa in the bedroom showed that he was trying to let Luisa know that he knew he was lying as he said it.

Maybe he was too drunk to remember what he'd said. He did seem kinda out of it.

And Linda lied about Jim calling her an arsehole.

The difference was Linda lied to start an argument, Jim lied to try and diffuse it.

Yes, I re-watched that part and he did definitely say "ask her about..."

Now watch as some people completely ignore your post which makes perfect sense.

He's vile, he's holding it all in you can really see that. He's being sneaky with his little barbs. Trying to make himself out as the innocent but he wants to blow and let rip.

He did NOT look out of it at all ... That's not fair

Linda made up the arsehole comment. I don't see the big issue here.

Not an absolute liar as he has been quite upfront unlike Blair.

I think he realised he should not have bought that up but he was cornered by the incessant winging of the dreadful Linda.

That apart, he has been very honest.

Jim lied because he tried to get out of it. This was obvious because of the way he said "did I?" when Luisa told him what he said when they were in the bedroom with the others. Jim trying to diffuse it. That's a laugh.

The truth is that linda is eaten alive by the shame and embarrassment of having been married to a man who stole from someone who as Jim said "was a good friend of ours" and angry that Jim despised the man as a result.

Linda was spoiling for a fight ...that was obvious by her jumping down Jims throat when he asked an innocent question to Luisa ... Who wasn't upset by his question until Linda interfered

Maybe he did say it & we didn't hear? Jim never denied that he said it?

Linda was provoking him constantly all night, as she has done all series.

Jim finally bit and who can blame him? He was well within his right to say what he did. Linda then pounced on it, played the victim trying to show Jim in a bad light, when his reference to Frank Carson's dressing room is actually very relevant to the reason why she hates Jim so much.

Jim could have destroyed her in this argument, but instead tried his best to diffuse it from the beginning, and has since apologised too, even though it should have been on Linda to apologise.

It's starting to come across that you're a big fan of Jim.

Well said batman....

I have never liked Jim's racist antics but I do not like seeing people picked on.

Linda is scary and an absolute pest.

Jim is anything but this. He could easily ignore her if he genuinely didn't want any hassle from her.

So Linda's hatred of Jim stems from the fact that Jim argued with Linda's husband Brian, because he (Brian) stole money from Frank Carson who was a close friend of Jim's. Is that quite fair? Shouldn't Linda's anger be directed at her husband and not Jim?
