Wow, so it looks as if he not only stole money from a friend on several occasions, but from a charity collection too? What a despicable lowlife common thief he was.

The eldest sister Denise, who has always had a pretty fractured relationship with the youngest Nolan sisters had an account of the incident on her website.

When Linda recounted the story to Lee she omitted some of the facts that her sister had written such as the theft being witnessed on camera and the sum of money involved. Linda tried to create the impression that her husband had only pleaded guilty to get the press of their back whereas the web page her sister had written made was quite factual in it's account. I.e. There was a theft of £20, it was witnesses and filmed, Hubbie pleaded guilty and was fined £200 for it.

What no one is sure of is how long that web page had been up? The web page was removed from the website this morning.

You should react the family autobiographies.......and those are the versions they dare publish. Those women would stab each other in the back over boyfriends, acting parts, money. Homely, clean cut, loving was how they spun their image......the truth is quite different. Did you know that Linda was known as the Naughty Nolan because she got her bits out in the News of the World. As she tells the story her and hubby were short of money so hubbie got her a 'kit off' job which in the 70's were very well paid. It must be said though Linda was gorgeous when she was younger......really beautiful.

I do remember Linda acting the slut on the James Whale television show yonks ago and being really surprised by her then so this present reincarnation of her character just doesn't wash with me.

It never crossed my mind that Linda could be worse than Colleen in the victim stakes but she has surpassed even her sister's sterling efforts.

I rarely buy autobiographies but I rent them out of the library by the handful. I actually think Linda was the worst but Bernie was no saint and I think Colleen learnt a lot by virtue of being the youngest. Denise and Ann were a lot older than the other three and I can't remember much about Maureen. They are vicious though and I think their parent especially the Dad were as hard as nails.

I think their Dad didn't share the money they made and I think he was such a drunk he was fairly incompetent in managing their affairs. I'm not sticking up for her.......I think she's absolutely vile but I don't think she ever had much of a showbiz lifestyle, just a big fish in a small Blackpool pond.

It takes a certain kind of vindictive b@st@rd t have posted it in the first place, fair enough if they had fallen out and had no contact but to have Lindas "dirty washing" out there like that beggars belief, (NOT a fan of Linda) very very cruel for the sister to do.

Denise accused her Dad of sex abuse but she had no part in writing the book as the sisters were at war by then and she was in one side with Ann that were excluded from the book, tour, reunion.
