It goes back to when Denise revealed what had happened with her Dad and not all of her sisters were supportive. Fairly typical Nolan sister behaviour I think you'll find.

I do remember thinking, when the details of the book became public, that I would indeed be very upset if a sibling made such claims in public and the family were either not consulted or did not give their blessing for the "story" to be made public, so I would be on Lindas side in that.

Oh dear, this thread is quite sad really. Poor Linda. I didn't really like her on cbb but now I feel so sorry for her. She's obviously gone through a lot in her life.

Ann was abused and told the media, Denise sided with Ann. The other four did the tour, reunion, book and fell out with Denise and Ann. I imagine at that stage Denise when they were all falling out Denise had her say on her website and there it's sat for years. There was a rapprochement of sorts at Bernie's funeral but that's just one of the rows. There have been rows over nicking each other's boyfriends, lending money and not paying it back, pinching acting roles each other were up for. I think the only time they've all been at peace with one another was when Bernie died as she asked them to. However I imagine when Linda comes out and finds out about the impact Denise's website had on the Jim argument, they'll all be off fighting again.


And that is a very brief summary because they are always in different cliques within the family depending on the latest spat.

I think Linda has more then held her own in the context of her sisters.

Actually now I'm not sure which four did the tour but only three did the book! You couldn't make it up really.

Edit: Bernie, Linda, Maureen and Colleen.......they did the tour, book etc....

It truly is sickening how desperate for money and fame they are. What kind of family trample over each other and attempt to destroy their own sisters' careers to get ahead? Urgh!!!

Horrible isn't? My world and nerves would be in shreds if I ever fell out with one of my family. And you know Linda didn't speak to Denise and Ann for years despite living a few doors away from one of them. The Nolan brothers tried on numerous occasions to broker peace but it was always Linda who wouldn't entertain the idea. I think Maureen was fairly decent but very quiet so she tended to be dominated and I think Colleen and Bernie were fairly outspoken but Linda was the worst by a mile. Interestingly the Guardian article that Diamond Doll linked backs that up as well.

It was at Bernie's deathbed she apparently asked them all to stop fighting for her and her daughter who was going to need all her Aunts once she was gone.

Okay so its been established that this money was taken. But what is the link to Jim in all this? Why does she hold a grudge against him, what did he have to do with this theft?

I think when there are bigger families with lots of kids this sort of thing happens a lot, where cliques and allegiances form between the siblings. I've seen it happen with bigger families I know including my dad's. They are just different people with different outlooks on life and you are drawn to the siblings who most share your values. That's just how it is.

Why would you be upset and stop talking and supporting your sister if her whole childhood had been wrecked by sexual abuse? Why would you exclude them from the reunion and any pleasure or fun they can have? That's so messed up and punishing the wrong person

If they want to be in the limelight, why don't they all go on the Jeremy Kyle show? In fact no; even his team won't be able to sort that lot out.

That thought really amuses me.
