Well sort of food preparation and I'm almost a complete cooking novice so this may all sound stupid
. I live off a lot of canned/frozen food and was thinking of preparing a weeks worth or so of meals and storing them in individual portions in the fridge. (I think I'd be a lot more motivated to cook each night if it were all ready to throw in a pan, have a terrible habit of skipping meals)
I was thinking of using things like canned tomatoes, chickpeas, kidney beans, frozen + fresh vegetables, mushrooms and also herbs/spices, things like onions and garlic.
I've seen a few similar things around the internet but they're for slow cookers, where as I just intend of throwing into a pan and I wasn't sure if that would be okay/safe to do? Also exactly the types of food to freeze, is okay to freeze the kind of things above, what to avoid etc..?
Thanks, and sorry if this sounds stupid, never sure about food.
