It was pretty obvious that Lee heard Lionel pretty much give the game up by describing what the superfan was doing with her hair. Lee pretended not to hear because he must have guessed it was part of the task for him not to know and didn't want to lose the prize. Or am I giving him too much credit?

I think he knew he was being watched the whole time. Otherwise he wouldn't have completely brushed her off when she said Luisa was bitching about him. He was playing it for his housemates viewing.

The village idiot has such a limited amount of functioning brain cells he isn't capable of working out any kind of game plan. He could probably have won if he had gone in and kept his hands off the women and had some clean fun instead.
