He admitted to being a 'homophobic bastard' though and has acted that way to gay people before (based on comments made to Brian dowling), also his comedy sets have contained a lot on disabled people and he refused to play in front of people in wheelchairs so they missed out on seeing his comedy cause he was about to undermine and make people laugh at them disrespectfully, he's also said racist things in the past so should he keep being Jim or carry on with the person he's portraying at the moment

He is so homophobic, that is why he has been in the business for years and it is not known as the most hetro-sexual business to work in. Not just working on TV, but also owning various theatres where he put on various shows and employing a variety of people from the local communities. Plus if he was homophobic, why did he employ his tour manager who just happened to be openly gay?

With regards the wheelchair users, as he has said, his act involves audience participation taking the mickey out of those sitting in the front row. It did not sit comfortably with him to have the audience involved with demonising a front row of disabled people. He set up the British Forces Foundation, which incidently is heavily involved with the rehabilitation of wounded servicemen (severely disabled from frontline duties) at Headley Court. Not something a person would do, if they had problems with disability.

Rylan is a non-entity who will be a forgotten after thought in 3 years time. Jim however will be a legend for the rest of his life.

That is the word for this prat "knobhead", jim is getting more support than they want hence Emma, Rylan the "handpicked" audience, Welch, professionel victim colleen Nolan and all the other man hating "celebrities"(if you can call them that) being invited on to slate him.

I agree with you. I cannot bear Rylan - he is imo talentless and absolutely desperate for fame.

Although I am not a fan of Jim Davidson - if anyone else was being 'marginalized and picked on', BB would have done something. I have now switched on, but made a complaint to both C5 and Ofcom. Linda Nolan has really gone down in my estimation.

I have been to Headley Court and evidently Jim visits regularly. Yet, he never publicizes it much.

I don't think he's far off because he told Luisa to grow up in last night's episode, so if this making a noise thing carries on, he'll end up getting into an argument with one of them.

It's weird how some people spend their time scurrying around searching for stupid press releases (5 years old mind!) to make their case more solid. What Jim said in that report was definitely tongue in cheek. He probably reckons that if that is what the press think of him, then that is what he will give them. He is a normal guy who has made some complete hash ups in life, regrets them and is trying to live a better life now. Give him some slack!

I hope he will.
