Blackberry 9320 antivirus and Ebay alerts
Hi, a few weeks ago I bought my first smartphone, a sim free Blackberry 9320 which I am really pleased with. However there are a couple of things I am not sure about and if anyone knows that would be great.
As the phone can be used for the internet, does it need an antivirus installing? I have looked through the Blackberry app store and can't see anything, there is an app called Blackberry Protect but that only to record contact details etc. I normally only use it for Ebay, Facebook and Twitter so it may not be that important. Secondly the Ebay app works great except for the alerts not working. It is different from Facebook and Twitter as they send text alerts whereas Ebay doesn't. Would I need to set up the email for this or is the app not working right. I haven't set up email on the phone with having no antivirus and I would prefer just to use emails on my PC. Hope this doesn't sound too confusing. Thanks |

Hi there,
As long as you are going to download and install the more known apps on the phone I don't see that you will have a problem with a virus. It's only really a problem with Android if you download apps that are not from their Play Store. |

You can't download android apps onto that handset so you shouldn't have any issues with viruses
