On BBBOTS last night, saying that she hopes they will keep on at Jim as he is close to cracking and how she can't WAIT to see this happen, whilst grinning inanely and rubbing her hands together in glee ! Could this excuse for a woman get any nastier ??

Agreed, I am liking Jim, although I didnt like him back in the 80's, and do not understand what she has against him

McGiffin has never been nice. If she supports the likes of Linda, Luisa and Charlotte it shows what a low life she is.

dont like the woman myself but she clearly meant she wants to see him crack so it would be the end of his softly softly act & the real nasty side (which many have testified to) will come out & it will make for great tv,if people arent happy seeing someone cracking up then maybe big brother isnt really the show to be watching

If someone was deliberately deprived of sleep and goaded from all angles by a gang of people - that would be all kinds of wrong. That would be bullying wouldn't it? And if he tried to do that to someone - can you imagine the cataclysm?!

Same here, I am quite flabbergasted about it too as I couldn't stand him before I saw him in the house and wasn't even going to bother watching as both he and Linda were in it. I've been amazed at how restrained he's being and can see that he's trying his best to behave well, despite the two harpies that are trying to make him break. He's still got a way to go with his therapy, but it seems to be working, he's far more tolerant than he was, which can't be easy in the face of those two ! I KNOW that I would have let rip at both of them a long time ago ! The trouble is that he can't, as it will just play into their hands, and the hands of those that don't want to give him a second chance or allow him to change.

Naaa, Carol McGiffin doesn't care if someone is pushed to the point of cracking up, unless it's one of her cronies (Denise, Colleen, Charlotte). She lives on her reputation for being "outspoken" which in her case is usually just being downright nasty about people. She seems to get off on people being made miserable, it's the only time she cracks her face into the grimace that she calls a smile.
As for your last comment, I watch the program to see how people interact with one another, not to see people being made to "crack up" to "amuse" me.

For a seasoned presenter she's not as comfortable with an auto cue as I'd assume that she'd be. Never saw loose women. She just harps on about her time in the house. ( demonstration of the slut drop they used to do- irrelevant )
We want to hear about this series not her experience all the time.

The only other thing she harps on about is her ex-husband Chris Evans. Funny, but Chris had his demons in his time (no doubt the ex-wife being one of them). I never used to like him way back in the Eighties and never thought I would like him. My husband was the same, but he also became a fan of the new Chris Evans. He is such a different man and I enjoy listening to his morning show as his positivity just sets you up for the day.

Similar with Jim, look how far he has come dealing with his demons from the person he was in the early eighties to the person he appears to be on Big Brother. His family have stayed out of the limelight, there have been no untoward stories coming from them, apart from the one way back in the early nineties from his third ex-wife. He sought therapy and treatment and has owned his faults, by publicly admitting them and making no excuses, besides acknowledging his addiction to alcohol and cocaine (which he also has had treatment for).

i take yer point about carol but come off it with the other,i know people who are interested in reality tv programs but wont watch bb for the specific reason that they dont feel comfortable seeing people humiliate themselves & crack up.unfortunately if ya watch bb its inevitably going to result in that sort of thing, you know that, what you are claiming is akin to watching car crashes & hoping nobody gets hurt

It's not just bullying - it's a form of torture.

She probably pee'd a bit when she did that disgustingly named 'slut drop' - and her knees cracked like dry firewood!

What an excellent post. I think that Jim is trying very, very hard to keep his temper, under extraordinarily difficult circumstances. He has completely altered my previous perception of him.

Sleep deprivation is a known and accepted (by some) form of torture, Those selfish housemates should stay out of the bedroom when others want to sleep.

well you should contact the police immediately then because big brother is also torturing jim with sleep deprivation by keeping the lights on when he,s trying to sleep or is it just a case of him going to bed early ??? , i have seen him moaning when its dark but not half as many times as i have when the lights are still on

My only memory of her on bb was that she was drunk most of the time.

All these people going on about jims sleep deprivation...you do know he,s openly admitted to taking cocaine dont you? A drug that is used to keep you awake all night, seems a bit rich him moaning about lack of sleep when he took a drug that that does just that

He doesn't take it now though.

Anyway, it's not the same at all, choosing to stay awake and being kept awake when you need sleep.

Ohhhh ok so when he did take cocaine it was ok for everyone to stay up all night but now he doesnt its not,ha ha,if health issues is such a concern maybe he shouldnt have taken drugs in the first place, seems a bit of a coincidence that its mainly him making such a big deal out of it

When he took it, I assume he wasn't locked up in a house full of people that he had no choice as to wheher they were there or not, and he was with people of his choosing.

Strange argument you're trying to make.

Mcgiffin is very, very lucky to get a presenting job on BBOTS as she was one of the major reasons that the previous CBB was so poor.
