Emma on live shows

I much prefer when she is already on the stage and introduces the episode to the "PLEASE WELCOME YOUR HOST EMMA WILLIS" malarchy from Marcus which I think is a bit OTT and tacky.

Does anyone else agree? Back on C4, the live episodes always began with Davina, whereas with Brian it was always the 'please welcome your host'. I think they really need to ditch Marcus on live shows and just have Emma.

What do people think of Emma's presence on the shows? I really really like her.

Don't ditch Marcus, he hasn't a pension plan!

Imo apart from her blatant bias her fake laugh, her allowing the audience having to stand up for when she comes down the stairs on BBBOTS and her dislike of some attractive model types she is fine.

For me, Emma seems less enthusiastic these days, she's wearing black all the time when she used to be more colourful - black washes her out - she seems tired and just less enthused by it all.

First show I've seen her do. I'm not keen on her presenting style, she reminds me of Melanie Sykes, who I dislike.

The eviction night presenter should be Ray Winstone:

"Oi Lee! You're out! Shift it!"

She's shoved into the freezing cold. In the Summer she'll be back in colourful dresses.

Even in the studio she seems more listless to me. Purely the impression I'm getting, of course.

Struggling to think of a more pointless thread

On liking Emma I think most people like her until she raises her voice above "talking" level at which point her voice is quite unbearable. She's obviously a nice girl but she gets fast forwarded at x30 when she's on stage outside the house shrieking.

Get rid of Marcus ? Never ! He does seem to of over done the introduction. Like an umpire before a big fight " Lets get reeeaaaadddyyyy to ruuummbllle !" kind of thing. I imagine C5 have had a hand in telling him to do it that way. Marcus is great though and BB would be the worse off without him.

As for Emma, I like her. So no complaints from me on either score.

Why is it a pointless thread? I was asking what people thought of the beginning of the episodes and then her presenting style as a whole.
If it was so pointless, why did you comment?

I didn't mean get rid of Marcus entirely, that would be dreadful!

I preferred Brian, he didn't make the show about him and have the grand entrance, he was more humble, nor did he show bias.

Emma is good and gives the show some much needed gravitas that Brian Dowling never had. However, ITV and the BBC have taken a shine to her, so it is no longer her main source of income. She is still a super-fan of the show, though.

Marcus Bentley has been promoted to sole voice-over man by Channel 5, but I preferred it as it was with a generic BB voice on Eviction night. And, Marcus, it's E-viction not Ah-viction.
