I honestly cannot find out how to do it, it used to be simple on my laptop.

Can anyone help please but keep it simple, I can understand the usual terms but then it all goes pear shaped for me.

Thanks in advance

In the browser dropdown box (top of the screen) hold your finger on the URL of the link that you're trying to insert in your post.

You should find the whole URL highlights in blue with a couple of words above it, one of which is 'copy'.

Touch copy then go to the tab with your post and touch the hyperlink symbol at the top of the post dialogue box (the one with the globe and chain).

Another dialogue box will pop up with http://. Delete http:// by highlighting the text and pressing cut.

Then paste the URL into the dialogue box by presing on the dialogue box and touching 'paste'.

Touch OK to insert link into post.

Sorry, it's a bit difficult to explain in words...

If all you want to do is put a basic link in like

www.bbc.co.uk

then either type the URL (as I did for the above) if it is simple enough or copy it from the address bar and paste into the body of the reply box. There is no need to do anything else. The forum software will convert anything resembling a URL into a weblink all by itself.

The globe and chain icon is if you wanted to turn a word or phrase into a link like

BBC website

Oh and the globe and chain icon is only visible in the Advanced text editor, not the simple one that appears at the bottom of the page in the thread.
