My hubby doesn't iron anything, he refuses point blank to lift the iron. Probably a good thing really

My OHs claim to fame is that he has never ironed anything in his life.
I iron what needs ironing, but as I wash clever that is not a lot

Yes I always do for the simple reason that I wouldn't trust him to go next, nigh or near an iron with good shirts! Guess I'm just a sexist bitch!

I iron Mr Bennyboots shirts because I do a much better job at it that him. I also iron teatowels, flannels and my Dad's ironing. I've done extreme ironing too. I love ironing.

I hate all other kinds of housework, though.

I do all the ironing, it's too painful to watch Mr S trying to do it and I just meddle and take over anyway.

Perhaps he's smarter than I thought...

I iron his work shirts for the week on a Sunday evening... I iron all other stuff as we wear it.. I hate ironing lol

Don't have a problem doing it. Same as he comes in from work and starts making the dinner or goes and gets a take away if I'm working late. We both work and both do what needs to be done. No big deal really.

absolutely she was, she just loves having a go doesn't she - she's turned into Linda's sidekick - poking and poking, over anything and everything. And if the stupid woman thought about it, she'd realise Jim's old school, my father has never ironed anything in his life, y mother does it, and always has, its just the way it is. I would iron my partners stuff, and visa versa, because i'm a different generation, but on the whole I would do it, nothing wrong with it, it's just division of chores,, and each to their own. It's not being a male chauvanist, it's just tradition of era and specific to a generation.

Many people view the same way as Jim, but its taken too seriously - it's only ironing and every family is different, but, like I say it depends on the generation you're born in. Some women find ironing very therapeutic ! some hate it. horses for courses.

BUT some on here will now say Jim's a chauvanistic p*g blah blah blah

I love ironing for my husband and my husband loves that I iron for him...he doesn't take it for granted!

I would and he would, but that was not what was happening in the house!

Jim was saying that most women iron their husbands shirts, as in he expects them to do it!

In fact he probably irons more than I do, I point out how much better he is at it :-p
