I just found an old packet of it in my cupboard and made it butterscotch flavour all I can say is YUM. Is this stuff low fat? are the supermarket ones as good as the Birds Eye stuff or not? gonna buy more tomorrow I think

The only way to eat it is to pour it into a bowl on top of slices of any cheap chocolate swiss roll, then cover with a thick layer of Dream Topping. I wouldn't claim that it's health food, but it is irresistible.

I love it, I make it extra runny, use 3/4 pint(full cream, of course) instead of 1/2 per packet. Lovely, like a thick shake.

I don't think it has much fat in it anyway.

They make a 'no added sugar' version, where they substitute sucralose.
It's not the same though.

I love Angel Delight. My Mum used to make a pudding when I was a kid that had orange jelly with orange segments in the bottom of individual glass bowls. It was then topped with orange Angel Delight. It was blummin gorgeous and looked pretty too.

Not used it for a good few years now but when we had a camper van it was perfect for our trips away and the children (and grown ups) loved it. I'd use a mix of milk and tinned evaporated milk I must buy a packet.

I have a little recipe book from years ago for different ways to use Angel Delight.

Here's one:
Crush 6-8 ginger biscuits and mix with a little butter. Make up 1/2 pint Butterscotch Angel Delight as usual. Turn into glasses and top with the crushed biscuit mixture.

You can put made-up Angel Delight into ice-lolly moulds and freeze it.

Also you can layer the made-up Angel Delight in sundae glasses with a complimentary flavour of canned pie filling. e.g. Vanilla Angel Delight and cherry pie filling. Or Strawberry Angel Delight layered with strawberry jam.
