Precisely! This wasn't Liz "acting". This is the same tired old 'poor me' drivel she spews out there every week in her dire column - sympathy-seeking old crone. Asked recently where she sees herself in 5 years' time, she said "Dead, I hope". She's not joking, she has no humour.

Woah, I wasn't saying that! I'm a huge Liz fan. I think she was aware of how it would come across on TV (funny) and that she was saying it purely to win the task - you have to remember, her part of the task was to not laugh - not be depressing! She was purposefully using her past experiences to make herself upset so that she wouldn't laugh. Liz is amazing, and in fact, she's probably the least fake HM in there.

I cannot disagree more. It's extremely clear that she has a very low self-esteem. She has, by her own admission, no friends - the only person to send her a christmas card was her agent. Think about it - we're hearing stories in the papers about all the HMs from their friends and families - what about Liz? We haven't because there is no one.

Just because she writes about her experiences for profit doesn't mean that she's not feeling those things. In fact, more power to her for being able to make a lot of money in this way.

Exactly, you only have her word for it.

No, it means she exaggerates how much she feels those things. It's her job. It probably helps her feel those things less, spewing them to order. Jeremy Clarkson doesn't really hate gypsies, or think truckers kill prostitutes, or completely disbelieve in man-made climate change. Any supposed self expression that's done for profit to a deadline is questionable in terms of its veracity. Liz seems to have plenty of self-esteem around the size of her readership and plenty of confidence in talking to people, standing her ground, running magazines, etc. If she could take a pill tomorrow to completely remove her "body dysmorphia", would she? She'd have to look for a new niche. You think looking at Jasmine really makes her feel like killing herself? Like driving into a tree? Come on. I've read a few of her articles now, and she's basically a goth/tory comedienne whose USP is self-pity, like for years Jo Brand did cake and periods. "I look like I've been dead three weeks!"

I think you are so wrong and I believe that people are so used to in your face humour and humour at others expense that we don't recognise true dry wit anymore.

No way, you're taking her too literally. She's exaggerating for humorous effect - that's at the core of her column.

Perhaps that's because it wasn't actually very funny.

I know it's absolutely appalling stuff .

Like when she said to Jasmine, when I see you in the morning I want to kill myself .

Why would any sane person constantly keep referencing all this talk of killing herself ? Very sad and depressing and not at all healthy .

It was a task you bimbos! Whereas she might be an insecure, depressive woman, it was clear in that clip that she was trying. And the reference to death was exactly what was needed to be said to make it more believable to Luisa.

I for one think it was hilarious.

BIB, Sorry I need more convincing than that. Next you'll be telling usd he likes to go caravanning

Liz was hilarious last night.

I thought she was taking the pi$$ out of her self all in good humour, may be exaggerating a few undercurrents of truth but being completely farcical.

Did you not notice her mouth & expressions. The way she kept splashing her mouth with water etc, it was to stiffle in a giggle I am sure of it.

She is now my favourite
