Basic Rations
An Thropologist

Has it ever been explained what they actually get for basic rations? I know it involves chick peas but presumably other things too. Does anyone know what?

Various fruits and vegeatables, chick peas, soya milk, enough for them to live on quite comfortable thats for sure.

I am not sure AnThro, but it might not contain even staples, like tea, sugar, milk or bread, as didn't they run out of tea bags and bread earlier on. I wonder when the food element was brought in, because I can't seem to recall it from previous shows, or maybe I missed it. Are they jumping on the back of the IACGMOOH bandwagon? Starvation leading to more dramatics etc?

They also have flour and yeast to make bread.

Probably a much healthier diet of food than the luxury junk they order up for themselves.

Probably food that isn't very basic. You can't trust anything that is said by Big Brother these days or anyone for that fact

I was prompted to ask because of all the bread making. This would mean they are getting flour, yeast and milk.

I wouldn't be surprised Kate.

I never understand why they moan about chick peas. Brilliant ingredient, no fat, high protein and so versatile. I have cooked some into dishes this morning. I find it easier to rehydrate a whole lot in one go. Just made Chorizo, Chick pea and Savoy casserole and a Butternut Squash and chickpea tagine. I am really looking forward to dinner.

Swaying off topic a little bit here, but have they even made a shopping list yet?

Yeah, there was an argument over Liz's coffee

I think they only finish the shopping task today don't they? Or am I getting broadcast days muddled with real days?

Oh yes! I had forgot about the bread maker, if they can be bothered to use it.
