I have porridge nearly every morning for my brekkie.

I use tesco value rolled oats - 75p for a big bag and tastes the same as anything else I've tried.

I microwave for a couple of mins with semi skimmed milk then add a few tinned prunes with a bit of the prune juice, a dollop of natural Greek yoghurt and a generous sprinkle of pumpkin seeds.

I even give the same to my 1 year old minus the seeds.

Yummy and very nutritious.

I still cannot abide porridge despite me knowing that it is healthy and fills you up / fuels you.

I make it for my little one (I make it from Scottish Porridge Oats) and just a sprinkle of cinnamon..

I've had Flahavans for the last couple of days having finally opened the bag that I bought weeks ago. It's a big bag, 1.5 KG., so it's going to last me several weeks even if I have a bowl every day

The one I usually get is Sainbury Taste The Difference Hand Rolled Oats

comparing the two........Flahavan has smaller oats which dissolve more in cooking to form a pastier porridge ( more like the consistency of wallpaper paste !).....Sainsbury have bigger oats which tend to retain more shape in cooking and hence produce a stodgier porridge, more solid and substantial

Both are well edible though, just different........
