I struggle to see how that was possible. The theoretical maximum for 10Mhz 800 is about 76Mbps (and that's pushing it). That's if you've sellotaped yourself to the antenna panel and you are the only one on it.
Not arguing with you, just sayin......

EDIT: It's possible you were the only one on it at that particular time and the testing app isn't entirely accurate, which wouldn't surprise me at all.
So you could have been indeed, maxing it out!!

Devon if he was using the Vodafone net perform app, then it can be quite inaccurate at times as it seems to give the peak download speed rather then an average of sorts like most others, so if it briefly flicks high for some reason, that's what it will say your speed is, had it trying to tell me I had nearly 7mbps upload speed on 3g a few weeks ago, when in reality it flicked up for a millisecond to around 7 then settled back down around 1.5ish..

Yes was net perform as it's free! the mast is quite rural, the sector that faces us probably only serves 50 homes

In my experiences, Net Perform has been pretty accurate. After the test finishes the values shown are pretty much the average weighted towards the speeds achieved for the longest throughout the test.

Employees aren't paid on commission so there's absolutely no incentive at all to do it. What you could do was to connect somebody as a business line rather than a consumer one, to meet some more targets.

Thanks Gigabit. Good to hear Voda retail staff don't operate on a commission basis.

I don't think any mobile phone company staff operate on commission tbh. I believe Phones4U were the last company to employ such a thing.

Still pushed quite hard for specific targets though .

That's what happened to me. Got it changed easily but now I'm concerned that my tariff is showing the full price, without the discount I got (£10 a month).

Apparently the bill will be adjusted but I'm sceptical as when it was a business account it showed correct (albeit less VAT).

Yeah, just stating the maximum possible speed on 800 with 10Mhz bandwidth is 76Mbps. You would be allocated all 600 odd sub-carriers.
Clearly during that test, you were!
But over 80 meg would suggest the app is calculating the speed in some way that slightly exaggerates.

Depends on the company/store in question.

Can you also ask them about the lack of iPhone 6 support? Texting CALLING to 97888 didn't work on my iPhone 6 plus

You are right, it's only available on the iPhone 6s and 6s+ and as of this week the Galaxy s6 and edge. I think I posted a link on the previous page.

Some planned 4G'ing to Ilchester, Yeovil and Podimore, Weymouth. They seem to be gradually looking at the West

Just make sure you're on one of the new Big Value Bundles and it should enable it automatically. If not just pop into store and get it added.

I am because I had the 50gb one that I already had to contact support about to get the 50gb and it still doesn't show up, but my data isn't going down so I presume it's there.

I visited London Gatwick airport in Friday, because I was travelling to Greece and I spent some time in South terminal. There was no 4G connectivity. My iPhone never connected on 4G while on shops and restaurants.

3G was pretty congested. The voice quality on calls over 3G was not good enough and the internet was barely moving. Web pages were failing to load (timeout) or loading really slowly. I also tried to use tethering on my laptop and it was extremely slow, to the point that I stopped using it because it was annoying.

I got 4G network when I moved towards the gate and it was on LTE 800. I can't believe they haven't installed LTE 2600 at the airport where the needs of communication are excessive, data and voice. At least, the 3G should have been flawless.

On the other hand, Vodafone Greece in Athens and greater Athens seems to be fantastic. Mostly LTE 1800 but also 800 and plenty of 2600 in places as well. I haven't lost 4G so far, with an exception of the underground were I only get E or GPRS. Still testing though...

All tests run on an iPhone 6S Plus.

Have to say I have a new problem now .... The improved o2 coverage means I'm using way more data than I used to. My phone seems to have become more data hungy just because it now can. Lol

You'll find for whatever reason most EU Vodafone owned networks are much better than their UK parent counterpart.

The argument is that the UK network still has ancient legacy infrastructure whereas the other networks were built a lot later in time.

Not entirely sure how much there is in that as the Spanish network seems to perform admirably on 4G and their 2G network has been around ages as Airtel ES.

So no idea.

Stansted is the same 2/3G only no sign of 4G for miles

Heathrow was good on Vodafone for me though. Not 4G everywhere, but where I did get it I could get some nice speed test results of over 70Mbps.
