Recording unscheduled programmes
I have Series Record set to record Coronation Street on ITV-HD which it does faultlessly
however every Friday it records Coronation Street at 9.30pm on ITV+1 for which I have never set the timer. I have checked Scheduled Recordings and nothing is set for any time to record anything on ITV+1 It's a minor annoyance but I just wondered why it does this |

As well as or instead of recording that episode from ITV?

The 8.30pm episode is recorded from ITV-HD as usual but persists in also recording the ITV+1 showing at 9.30pm
I have nothing set to record from ITV+1 (or ITV) at any time yet it always records Coronation Street on ITV+1 at 9.30pm every Friday. Nothing else is recorded by the box from ITV+1 or any other channel for which the timer has not been set. As far as ITV or BBC channels are concerned I always record the HD versions never SD |

I'd delete your scheduled recording, and then set the series link again and see if that sorts the problem

I occasionally get this on ITV HD and I suspect it may have something to do with the broadcaster failing to send the accurate recording signals properly or making mistakes in the metadata sent about each programme.
