Do Lee, Nancy & Johnny know their Grandfather?
It seems that Mick is estranged from Stan although not as much as Shirley is while Tina is closer to her Father.
However do Mick's kids know their Grandad? |

I'm not sure that they do, they seem intrigued and a little surprised when he was being talked about

I think Dean does and has been in contact with Stan apparently.
I guess he may know Zsa Zsa as Tina appears to be closer to her Father than Shirley and Mick. |

I could be wrong but I thought that Mick mentioned at some point that he hadn't seen or spoken to his father in 10 years. Shirley said in an episode during the week that the last time she spoke to her father he told her that "her type didn't live past 30" or something to that effect so she hasn't spoken to him in about 20 years.

I cant imagine them welcoming him to Walford but that is where Aunt Babe and Tina may have some influence, I also cannot see Shirley and living under the same roof as Stan so its likely Stan, Babe, Tina and Dean will live in a separate house on the Square (maybe Janine's?) - Stan has lived on his own for a long time I guess. I guess we wont actually see Stan or Babe moving to the Square until the spring. |

Shirley is in her early 50's I would imagine and Stan is probarly late 70's- West is 79 in real life.

As for where they'd live, I suppose Janine's house is vacant at the moment and would be suitable to fit in all the extra Carters that will be looking for a home in a few months time. With Lee coming home, I'm assuming he'll bunk in with Johnny at the Vic and Dean, Babe and Stan will need to find alternative accommodation. Unless of course, they decide to live away from the Square and appear only on a visiting basis (like Audrey in Corrie). |

From the interviews I've seen so far relating to Stan's arrival it's clear that he's not a very pleasant character who wants to control his family. I wonder will he end up being an Archie style, pure evil villain or will he be more like a Lou Beale type character? She was a domineering old bag but wasn't truly evil. I'd like him to be more of a Lou type as the pure evil thing only has a certain shelf life and the Carters don't strike me as the types to go bumping off their own flesh and blood which would be the inevitable path if Stan was portrayed as a full blown villain.

I am looking forward to seeing how Stan interacts with his Grandchildren.
I think himself and Dean will be close and I suspect he will also get on with Lee too being rather proud of the fact he is/was in Afghanistan. I wonder how he will get along with Nancy & Johnny? |

I think he will get along with nancy perhaps manipulate her in some ways and I wonder if he will struggle with Johnny's sexuality and may be quite callous towards Him

It seems they do not, or at least haven't seen him in many years as Johnny was full of questions about Stan.
Perhaps they had contact with him when they were younger as Stan spoke of Lee. RE: Zsa Zsa, I would guess she doesn't have contact with him as it seems Stan would stand by Tina. |
