And this time, apparantly, it's 15 weeks long.
Well I'm a bit cynical as to whether viewers will commit to almost four months of daily Big Brother.

What are everyone elses views? And what will Big Brother's slogan this year be? They can't be Evil again, that would just be recycling the old one.

How about: Big Brother Gets Clever? Playing the housemates at their own game. Although that's kinda evil too. lol.

Source?

The 15 week duration has been rumoured before, would be interesting, particularly if they take the other german idea and go with a two house idea. But then that could go bad like the divide.

We'll have to wait and see.

I didn't say the divide was a bad idea, i said it went bad.

It started off good, but it should've ended a lot sooner than it did. Even the producers knew that a gave them several chances to get rid of it.

I think the poor/rich divide was good initally then it went a bit pear shaped. Think it went on too long.

I like the idea of two teams aka BB Norway vs Sweden...

15 weeks would be a bit too much, I think. Unless either A) it's the last series, so we want as much as we can get while we can get it or B) there's no spin-offs such as Celeb or Teen BB later in the year.

12 weeks and 14 housemates would be perfect for me.

And the theme...I like people's suggestions of "Big Brother 666 - It's Going To Be Hell"

TwoHouses, every week the evicted person(voted for by the public, who know whats happening) doesnt leave the show but goes into the second house. 1 week before the end of the series, the public start voting for who they want to win(after the last three in the first house go into the second one).
The hm's when they go into the first house are not told this, and think the hm's are being evicted in the normal way week on week. (fake crowd noise etc etc).
Imagine the look on the last threes faces, when they are told whats happening and moved into the second house, where they meet all the hm's they thought had been chucked out! and find out anyone of the 12(?) could still win.
I love this idea, but cant see it happening .

there wont be any spin offs if its 15 weeks, there not thick, 4 months would be good, every1 would watch it u no u will, id also prefer the single house, maybe split in 2 for the first week or so, but not long, they would defniatly need more than one feed on live streaming then,

What's the source for the original fifteen week claim, please?

Whether I could watch for fifteen weeks depends solely on the BB production team and the housemates... imagine if BB6 was a repeat of BB4! BB4 is the only series I never got in to... but I still watched most of them

I could have quite happily watched BB1,2,3 OR 5 for fifteen weeks.

As long as the production team keep it interesting and there is a good mix of housemates I believe it would work. Afterall, it's only 30-60 minutes a day (unless we're glued to E4, of course!)

Roll on May!

Agreed. It statred off a good idea and produced plenty of conflict but it *did* go on too long and, as a result, became boring to watch.

The Rich/Poor divide died a death when Tim was left on his own on the Rich side... The whole questions/answers thing was meant to lift the divide wasn't it...then Kate forgot her best mate Alison. Tsk.

15 weeks would be great because I can never get enough of the show but when you say it starts in May are you reporting some groundbreaking news or something? I think we all know it's going to start in May considering BigBrother usually does.

Connexions, I agree that for viewers like ourselves 15 weeks would be great, but I can't help feeling that this length of time may prove to be too costly. The production team would have a very difficult job keeping the viewers entertained and also the housemates motivated.

With BB everything relies on the housemates and I believe that until they are all in the house, no one can predict how they are going to fit in and how the show is percieved by the viewers.

If the balance of housemates is not good, ie they are too boring - a 15 week show could kill BB in my opinion.

On the other hand BB5 was better than some previous BB's and if the producers can come up with some new exiting ideas , who knows?

15 weeks? Hmm... not a bad idea. It screams "loads of extra housemates" to me though... perhaps a few entering a few weeks in?

Good idea, as long as the production crew can sustain it (they had a hard time with 10 weeks last year.)

Please, no. All the RTV's seem to think this will work, but it never has yet.

I disagree. Becki's late entrance definitely added something to the show last year

I don't know whether you meant that seriously or not (the suggests not), but I would mean it seriously. Becki was easily one of my favourite HMs last year.

But she should have been in from the start, instead of one of the boring or irritating ones.

The fact of the matter is, late entries, replacement hm's etc never really have the status of a fully-fledged housemate in the eyes of the viewers or the other hm's and they've always been out on their ear at the first available opportunity. I feel a bit sorry for them. If I were a stand-by and they asked me to go in, I'd come up with an excuse and decline in the hope of getting through properly the following year. They must consider stand-by's again if they re-apply as they must have really liked them to make them a stand-by, that's what BB2's Elizabeth did, didn't she?
