Crusade with animated eps but its looking unlikely as Dan hall and pup ltd who commisioned animation and extras last and only remaining commision to be released is underwater menace

To me The Curse of Fatal Death should have been included on the Scream of the Shalka DVD, for obvious reasons.

The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot should have been on the Day of The Doctor Blu-Ray/DVD.

I guess Dimensions in Time could have featured in the Legacy box set too, as an extra on the More Than Thirty Years in the TARDIS disc.

Think its more to do with legal reasons that dimensions hasn't been released.

It is.
We'll just have to treasure (!) our off-air VHS copies if we've got them!

What legal reasons are those exactly, out of curiosity?

Every body involved signed Contracts stating that they worked for free in agreement that it would be shown once and never be repeated or released commercially for proffit.

Oh, seems a shame really. I don't even like Dimensions but it would be nice to have it from a completist POV.

What a shame that the contract wasn't worded to say that any additional financial gain from it would be donated to CIN! It then could have been released as part of a box set and any fee that would normally have come from it appropriately donated.

That said, it was completely shite and I for one am quite happy never to see it again!

Of course, the obvious answer here is every episode that remains missing or partly-missing at the time of writing, having been fully recovered and restored.

Would have to be The Five(ish) Doctors for me. Why this wasn't included on The Day of the Doctor DVD is beyond me, though for a 50th Anniversary DVD it was a pretty poor release overall - a lack of special features and very standard, uninspired packaging (though my inner Who-bitch likes to remind me that DotD was in my opinion standard and uninspired in and of itself).

Please just give us a Day of the Doctor/Time of the Doctor boxset (maybe even with An Adventure in Space and Time included)!

I'm hoping that the "90 episodes found" rumour is true, then we will have every 1st and 2nd Doctor story to watch on DVD.

I don't know if there is any truth in this. I've read on the net that there is going to be an announcement in April.

Fingers crossed!

If it's not true, then it will be very dissapointing. Anyway, I'd love to have The Curse of Fatal Death, and Dimentions In Time on DVD. It is not looking likely though. Apparently, the cast of DIT said that they would only appear if they weren't paid.

So that obviously means that a DVD release can only happen if the cast were paid for their time on the story.

Even if there was an agreement bbcww would still need clearance from children in need to use the footage and as I heard from 1 of the members of rt they were charging about 4k a minute (56k in total ) it just would not be worth paying that for a 15 min special feature

Agree, it would have been good to have The Five(ish) Doctors on The Day of the Doctor. I might have even bought it then. Maybe Moffat didn't want it there as well as it would "taint" his product.

As both the Five(ish) Doctors & Curse of Fatal Death are very comedy orientated, both are focused more on the "classic" series, and both very good I might add, as I'm sure most of you will agree, I'd like to see them released together. Maybe the last of the "classic" releases?

As for Dimensions in Time, I couldn't really care if it can't be released -it was crap, carrying on where McCoy left off.

I'm sure the fiveish doctors will appear on a 50th special some time this year. I am also sure all production of special edition dvds/animated episodes and extra features have been cancelled so the restoration team can concentrate on the restoration of the once missing episodes. Marco polo is not that far away now.

I haven't seen 5ish Drs Reboot. Looks like fun though! I think I probably would get it on DVD out of interest.

Dimensions in Time is a hoot! Really, it's so funny. Barking mad and totally daft, I love it. Must dust off my VHS of it at some point ...

I didn't bother with the recent animated story on DVD, and wouldn't bother with the other ones if they came along.

Agreed that Dimensions in Time Should be released even as an extra

This Ruins Chances of An Anniversary Box Set

Reasons of taste, surely?
I know it was for charity but did it have to be such appalling cringeworthy rubbish?

That is incorrect. Special editions stopped as
A) it got to the end of the special editions that Dan hall wanted
B) Dan hall and pup ltd (who produce and commisioned the extras and animations) contacts expired and weren't renwed.
C) sales for the recent special editions have been poorer than expected

Animation cancellation is still just a rumour. It's not confirmed. Planet 55 studios still have a producer listed for underwater menace. If it was canceled it would have been pulled by the website by now.
