I think the three comments above yours are typical of people who seem to think she had a few hits with the nolans in the early 80's and has been on benefits ever since. She HAS had longevity, her voice is obviously good enough to sustain a long career in musical theatre (and someone on here who saw her said she was 'brilliant') and 'all her hard work' brought her to the position of someone with a long and respected musical career to look back on. Better than most of us.
