I've got and used Netflix on both the 360 and PS3, not the PS4. I find the Netflix app on the 360 appalling to use compared to the PS3. I'd like to think the PS4 version is similar to the PS3 - you'll just log in and all your user accounts and lists will be available straight away.

I use an Xbox 360 and have no problems with it at all just log in and all the profiles are there just the same as my WDTV live, however the Xbox 360 only does 720p so if super hd is important then go for a PS4.

I hate the UI for Netflix on the 360 and Xbox One, much prefer the UI on the PS3 version of Netflix.

Well, PS4 or Xbox One is a difficult question (I haven't tested the 360, so this is based on the newer box).
I've got both for reviews over at Eye on-Demand and I have to say that they both have their advantages and disadvantages. As for Netflix on both, I personally prefer the PS4 app. Why? Well, the Xbox One app uses the Microsoft tile UI which is unique to that platform, but it isn't quite as good as how Netflix do their own app on new platforms. It's not always this way, some apps are better on Netflix than other platforms, but Netflix have a really good app anyway, so it just wasn't bettered. Overall which is better? Well, the Xbox One currently has more apps than the PS4, but the PS4 has the iPlayer. In any case, the coolest thing is that both platforms can add apps from anywhere in the world, and all sit next to each other. If you have a good smart DNS service like Overplay, which supports both the Xbox One and PS4, you can even have them all working together. So, if you are already OverPlay customers for Netflix regions and have an Xbox One, I would suggest you download tenplay and SBS from Australia, at the very least, as that would get you another two television catch-up services for free. Although there are two extensive reviews over at the Eye for both platforms specifically about streaming, I'm also preparing a direct comparison regarding media services. Should be published soon, so keep a good look out. |

I'd go for PS4 at least you don't have to pay twice to access NF

It is. My own tests came out at around 4810kbps which is Netflix's "Super HD" bitrate.
