I guess I'm getting old, is having sex with other men with your husband watching and multiple partners acceptable nowadays? It has been pointed out to by many here that telling non PC jokes is not acceptable - so where do people stand on the former? I am not trying to offend with this Q. I just want to know.

What consenting adults do is up to them. Prejudice is unacceptable (non-PC is just the favourite euphemism of reactionaries).

Anyone should be free to do whatever they wish with other consenting adults and no one has the right to judge them for it.

Telling jokes that demean other races, sexual orientations, gender is wrong.

So telling non PC jokes to people that have paid good money to here them is not something that is allowed even though all present are consenting to it. Double standards.

The real question is who would want to watch Linda Nolan having sex?

everyone has a different opinion as to what is acceptable and age does have a part - I cringe at times when I see young people and I include Luisa in this saying some of the things she does because nowadays people put so much of their personal opinions into the public domain and it can so come back and haunt them.

We are seeing so much of what was acceptable - or to be more accurate what was accepted in the past now affecting peoples lives and this can be on so many different matters.

We have seen constant references to Jim's and Linda's pasts but if we jump 30 years ahead what will we be saying about the younger ones. It will not be speculation but hard evidence as so much is in the public eye.

Those consenting to listening and laughing at his hate-filled 'humour' then go out into the world and live out that hate.
Their victims are not consenting.

Not necessarily. I've listened and laughed to all sorts in my time. I have never gone out into the world with any hate filled humour.

I'm neither a racist or homophone thank you.

Watching your wife get shagged up the arse by random blokes is all the rage nowadays.
Lovely.

But never ever tell a non PC joke!! (unless you're a woman or minority, then people will find your non PC jokes hilarious).

What other people do is up to them...personally I find it all rather degrading but that's only my opinion

Well done, but I really couldn't laugh at his racist 'humour'. It disgusts me. Not sure how anyone can.

So by watching the likes of Jim and Chubby Brown on you tube means people then go out and victimize - I've heard it all now.

Although I'm not a fan of LN, I've been amazed how much stick she's had for being argumentative but nobody seems to have even blinked about this disclosure! Funny old world!

I'm of Irish parents. When I used to hear the old jokes of the Englishman Irishman and Scot who blahh blah and the Irishman was always the butt of the joke I used to laugh. My dad born and bred in Ireland laughed and retold it, with the Englishman or Scottish man as the butt of the joke.

This never struck me as racist. I don't believe it is. It's just shock tactics to get a laugh. Like being "outrageously funny"

Terrorism is racist NOT jokes imo.

This total gagging of what people choose to say, think, feel or listen to is getting really extreme.

It won't change opinion, but when certain people in society are so over protected, it can only lead to resentments and real bigotry imo.

Apparently some people think that it's ok - personally I don't find entertainment at the expense of spitefully belittling others humourous but I guess if you've paid for it them it must be ok.

Perhaps it's ok to chuck in a few lions and Christians if the audience have paid...???

Indeed.

Apart from that one about the Englishman, Irishman and Scotsman...

Because unlike some, I can laugh at something, even myself then just take it for what it is and leave it there.

Two friends of mine took me to see a comedian. The jokes were very near the knuckle.

The jokes were horrendous insomuch as they were very naughty. What my friends didn't know was that I'd watched this guy online for many years so knew all of his songs and gags etc.

There I was, singing along to some of the most filthy songs you could imagine.

I'm not sure whether they were laughing at me for knowing all the words, or whether they were laughing because every time a really really naughty word was in the song, I didn't actually sing the word I just bobbed my head LOL!

But I don't watch something like that and act racist or homophobic or whatever once I come out or indeed when I was inside the theatre. My two friends are gay and they were laughing louder than me when the 'gay men' jokes were bandied about.

Go figure.
