Seems it never appeared in one of these shows after all.

One is Chelmsford 123 where the TARDIS (and Doctor) can be clearly seen the other is Red Dwarf where the TARDIS supposedly can be seen in a model shot of the Red Dwarf Hanger.

However while there was a model of the TARDIS placed in this scene the shot in question was never actually used in a broadcast episode of Red Dwarf so RD can't be classed as a Crossover.

"House", too, for me.

It'd be nice if we could see how Torchwood is getting along. Not exactly a crossover, but an episode of Doctor Who with Gwen and Jack would be good....

Benidorm and Madge is Davros in disguise. Would tie in with the Christmas episode in a roundabout way as well.

Not a cross over as such, but I have just rewatched the Crime Traveler detective/time travel series which featued Mary Tamm in episode 2 and 'Sexy' even got a cameo in episode 6.

Actualy if you can get past the low budget production, the naff '90's effects and the dubious support acting, then there are some rather good time travel stories to enjoy.

No, just no.

Beyond Chloe it really had no redeeming features.

I particulary liked it when he bought a lottery ticket in the past but the numbers erased when he returned to the present...

The ticket didn't vanish... just the numbers. That scene has always stuck in my head.

Tom Baker and K9 should have shown up in Blakes' Seven. Given Orac and Avon a run for their money

It needs another 13 part UK based series with Jack/Gwen starting up again with a new team.

Back in 2011 there was a Judge Dredd story that featured a character who resembled the 3rd Doctor

Orphan Black. One man with many faces meets the many women with one face.

Except if it does then to be true to Torchwood then Gwen has to die & I don't think RTD wants to write that.

We had that in 2008 with The Stolen Earth two-parter.

What? No! You're joking right?

Benidorm and Doctor Who cross-over? No way!

There are a lot of people who HATE Benidorm with avengence. Because the programme has a lot of chavvy essex-like characters.

I've never seen Benidorm. Not one episode. Nor am I likely to, any time in the future. If I did watch, I'd be cringing, feeling embarassed to be watching such drivel.

A cross-over with "Who" would NOT work. The viewers would turn off in their droves. Plus, the ratings would be at an all-time low, not seen since SM's days in 1989.

That could work, and not have the current Doctor but one of the others, the first Doctor and Susan for example, done from a distance they would look like the real thing and not stand ins

I think that's a bit harsh - Crime Traveller is well worth watching once, and the Police Box cameo is a good joke in context.

The thought occurred to me that Doctor Who already has its crossover episodes where the TARDIS materialises in someone else's story: Marco Polo, The Aztecs, The Massacre... these are all examples of this.

Wasn't Crime Traveller a BBC series shown around 1998, with EE's Michael French? I vaguely remember it was. I must have a look on Wikipedia.

Then I may have a look on YouTube, to see if any episodes of CT are on there. I may give them a go, if they are.

I agree with Saladfingers: unless it has some intrinsic purpose to it, crossovers are just excercises in fan fiction, and the problem with fan fiction is that fans are writers (or some other creative area) who aren't good enough to work on the actual show.

I disagree it had no redeeming features!

At a time when there was no Doctor Who on screen, CT was the perfect antidote and dealt with Time Travel in a way at that time that DW had ever done.

That blue police box and the musical cue for Doctor Who was brilliant and made me sad at the time as we had no Who proper.

As for Crime Traveller, it's one of my fave shows after Who. Love it to bits and it's a shame a second series wasn't made.

I think the original idea for Series 2 was a Dalek finale.

actually the orphan black clone's are perfect for the doctor. ask one to travel with him, then when she die's or something else happen's to part them, there's a load more genetically identical to her hanging around, so he can just go back and pick up another, no more having to choose new companion's and decide whether they're right for him or not

That's a brilliant idea! And yet, I bet she'd still try and rationalise it with science.
