This is probably the question asked most often but what Doctor Who Characters do you want to see return. It can be Aliens,Companions,Doctors or Guest Stars.

I Want

Craig Owens - James Corden
The Seventh Doctor - Sylvester McCoy
Donna Noble - Catherine Tate - Whilst She remembers the Doctor
Geoffrey Beevers, Eric Roberts , Derek Jacobi and John Simm as the Master in a Multi-Master Story (Why Not).

Thanks Capaldi

It will be a bit werid having Derek Jacobi in a multi-Master story as he was only technically the Master for about 45 seconds, but I think a multi-Master story between John Simm and whoever plays the Master next would be fun

Martha Jones and Mickey Smith would be top of my list followed by Captain Jack.

Do we know how long the Master was in that incarnation before he used the Fob Watch?

How will keeping continuity stop new ideas???!!
We need sth to connect Smith's and Capaldi' s era (if we need eras at all). And Paternoster gang is logical choice.

I find it really annoying that since tennant none of his companions have returned, I know there was a new writer and everything and that were all left off with a sorta happy ending, but I thought Smith's doctor would have visited at least one right??

Thanks God sb else noticed that!!! Season 5 was brilliant but changing everything at once was huge mistake. I felt like I am watching different show. I' d really like to see some of these characters back - at least fof continuity. Some crossover episodes would be nice too.

No No No No! Doctor Who isn't about seeing the Doctor drop in on Jackie Tyler for a cup of tea to see how she's getting along, it's about seeing him having NEW adventures with NEW companions. RTD rounded off all of the previous companions stories nicely. There's no need to keep dragging them back for the sake of it.

Ace (Dorothy) but I'd rather see a new male companion, we seem to get so few!

Ian Chesterton. Not bringing him back in the 50th was a missed opportunity.

The point is in balance. We certainly need new adventures and all new, suprising and refreshing ideas, but we also shouldn't forget old friends and we need to keep continuity (it is ONE large show, not 12 shows!). Only a balance of both can keep the quality of the series.

Change is a very good thing, but not in the way that 'just because Doctor is changing everything else should be changed and we can reject all that was before'. It's just foolish.

They said he was found with it as a baby so it wouldn't be Jacobi

That was probably an implanted memory (same as the Doctor remembering he'd been born in Nottingham to parents called Verity and Sydney).

It would have been a bit difficult without any help for the Master to use the Chameleon arch inside his TARDIS to turn himself into a baby and then have said baby moved out of the TARDIS and left for someone to find.

And the last thing the Master would do is turn himself into a helpless baby and leave behind someone else who knew who he really was and had access to his TARDIS.

However Chanto had known Yana for many years so it's more than likely that Yana looked a lot younger (just not a baby) when the Master first becane him.

I think the classic and nu Who universes have now been appropriately bridged, there is no need to bring back any classic companions anymore.

However, that said, I think Romana would be quite good as part of the presumed up coming Gallifrey storyline. Oh and bring back Jack, I thought he was a good foil.

The only thing we know for definite about Yana is that he existed for at least 17 years, anything before that could easily be fake. I very much doubt the Master actually regenerated into a chameleon-arch-working baby.

-----

It's been nearly eight years since Sarah Jane's return, and with Lis sadly no longer with us, I think it's about time we had another classic returnee personally. And having Mickey and Martha (or Jack) return next year in a standard 45 minute episode would be a nice simple way to commemorate a decade of New Who.
