He speaks the truth, it really annoys everytime the audience boos his comments, also he just gave a score of 7.5 and got booed, yet when Karen gives 7.5 no one boos. Plus I can not stand nicey nicey Karen.

I'm not keen on all the booing either

Wait for it; someone will be along shortly to say they were in the audience and saw the stage manager holding up a board saying "boo".

It annoys me how they boo him as well. I've always felt his scores are the most honest out of them all, even though he's not judging on technicality like Robin and Karen are.

I've also never taken to Karen.

I find it mad that that happens on certain shows, people need to find their own minds if I was shown a board telling me to boo someone I didn't want too then I wouldn't

When I went to filming, we were encouraged to boo if we didn't like something, specifically anything Jason said. There weren't any signs though!

I find it naff, and didn't join in with any of it. If it's only every now and then, it can be quite good fun, and actually make a point that the audience thinks something was unfair. Unfortunately, the routine booing of just about everything means that valid comment is ignored. Half the time people are so quick to boo they haven't noticed he's actually praising the contestant!

Isn't that just what people who go to see these shows filmed do? X Factor, the minute they say anything a bit negative however true, Strictly ditto, BGT,

When I went to a live recording we were treated like monkeys with a sign flashing when they wanted us to clap.We just kept our arms folded, lol, but most of the audience complied religiously.
I like Jason, he is harsh at times but honest .I really dunno why people want all fluffy bunnies and hearts 100% of the time. How boring is that ?

Jason is the only judge I take seriously to be honest.
Robin goes by his gut feeling, Karen is too close to the contestants and Ashley doesn't really know much about ice dancing.

I hate the booing, and the 'feuding'. Isn't it OBvious that Jason and Karen will look for and see different strengths and weaknesses in the performances? Jason judges on performance and dance alone, while Karen looks first at the skating, and each aims their comments appropriately.

I like Jason, especially since his (honest and unpatronising) criticisms have become slightly less acerbic.

Jason does try to make some helpful and meaningful comments.

Karen,on the other hand, when she is not smirking or pulling prim and proper faces at everyone, says very little of value.

She has long proved herself incapable of separating her role as a coach from her role as a judge.

I don't think the booing bothers Jason now. I like the way he just smiles, rolls his eyes and shakes his head when he gets the boos.

I like Jason. Every kind of talent show needs a bitchy old queen who tells it like it is.

Dancing on Ice has Jason.
Strictly Come Dancing has Craig Revel Horwood.
And The X Factor used to have....erm Simon Cowell

I think Jason has been very constructive and not overly nasty this series, so I think the booing is completely ridiculous. Other judges can be equally harsh and the audience are silent which is very unfair!

Even some of the pro skaters - one in particular - are slagging off Jason on Twitter. I think some people are getting far too defensive and need to accept that saying everyone is wonderful will not help the show!

Jason Gardner deserves the booing
He never offers contructive criticism, it is all based on his personal likes or dislikes
What does he know about skating anyway - nothing
Remember this is th eman who decribed Kelly Holmes as looking like a man in drag
Karen Barber should not be a judge, she helps to train the contestants and is bound to have a biased opinion. Perhaps her rumoured relationship with Christopher Dean helps to secure her place

The booing, and Karen on the panel, is why I stopped watching after the opening night.

I think Jason is very unfair with his scores and like Karen Barber, I find her very honest about the performances and marks them accordingly. Jason has his favourites that he marks high even when they make a mistake but if he doesn't like someone it doesn't matter how hard they try, they will not impress him and he will mark them low. I find him very unprofessional and think the booing from the audience was genuine, I have been to a Dancing on Ice TV show and never have I known them to encourage the audience to boo.

There is being a 'bitchy old queen who tells it like it is' and theirs being plain old verbally abusive. And frankly Jason's somewhat ambitious goal to find out how deep being disparaging goes by inventing ever more demeaning and demoralizing remarks is making for one of the ugliest examples of verbal abuse seen on TV.

But strangely it is confined to those who are deemed fair game on Dancing on Ice, as Todd Carty found out to his cost, which a little on the cowardly side. So maybe Jason is all talk

Even Karen appears to be trying her best to beat Jason. Her parting shot to Todd was to say "it was nice you visited". Is that all his appearance was to her, a visit? It was a lot more to me as someone who is also not exactly blessed with talent and confidence. Every contribution matters. Even from those who perhaps are life's losers and don't tend to be as fortuitous in their attempts. As well Karen would know if she actually thought first before speaking.

Jason needs to rein it in or he will find himself in trouble.

OK perhaps to boo when Jason says something unkind, but he gets booed before he has even had chance to say anything, which is just plain stupid. Sometimes other judges will say the same as him, but they don't get booed.

It doesn't matter that he knows nothing about skating, that's not what he is there to judge - that's Karen & Robin's job. Jason's is to judge the DANCE element and performance.

Agree Karen should not be a coach and a judge; but I don't think her relationship with CD is 'rumoured'.

I thought it was funny when she with all the booing it was like being in a room full of ghosts!

It might not matter to you, but it matters to me. Karen and Robin can and do judge both skating and performance. Jason can only do half the job.

Jason's whole job is to comment on the dance and performance; it is not his job to comment on the technicalities of the skating, any more than it is Ashley's job.
