I think we just have to accept that the show has evolved and changed over the years, I too wish live feed was available but as for the rest I think Channel 5 haven't done a bad job at all,

They have got a good mix of celebrity housemates this series, the tasks are always a bit hit and miss and have been since series one, but I don't mind seeing tasks like ignore the obvious again with a different set of housemates, and this one really has been more about family and friends, and in a way I am coming around to the idea of nuggets of outside information getting in, it certainly stirs things up in there!

Destroyed? it's been one of the best ever series it's far from destroyed.
Some of the tasks are repetitive with the secret room this series has been brilliant.
Although the only thing they've done which is awful is getting rid of live feed hopefully since it's getting the ratings BB will give us liv efeed this summer.

Perhaps for some... essentially taking their toys and going home isn't a viable solution, or one where there is much to be gained.

Someone once said that going against the system in simple resistance isn't true rebellion, it's finding a way and adapting to work within the system and creating change and a voice from within.

While that might not apply exactly, there are some elements that are similar, in that one might be greatly interested in certain aspects of Big Brother and what it means to them, but not be happy with how things are playing out.

And, so... instead of simple resistance or leaving, one instead finds ways to adapt, finds ways to make it work... looks at it from different angles, appreciates different things or old things more, etc.

All the while, keeping and maintaining that constant.

Essentially "working/adapting from within the system" as it were.

All that being said, if they end up getting rid of the regular version (due to lower rating or whatever) i will definitely take my toys and go home, as i don't have any interest in the Celebrity variation on it's own.

Channel 5 simply expanded what the show was becoming under Channel 4 anyway.

I think they've done wonderful things for BB, it's not often I get this far into a series of CBB and not missed a single episode.

As for live feed, yes it would be nice but to be honest, when anything worth watching actually happened, the birds flew from their nests and a whole lot of helicopters flew over the BB compound.

I've said it before but LF battle needs to be settled once and for all. 5* or 5USA needs to become BBTV for the upcoming summer run, 24/7 LF and we will see through the viewing figures how many people want LF and how much it impacts on highlight show viewing figures.

My prediction, not a lot.

C5 gave us some live feed last normal BB, but it was axed due to low viewers. The time they gave it to us was awful though - if I'm not mistaken, it clashed with the soaps!

That's why I want a full series of 24/7 because frankly, I'm quite bored of all the LF is be all and end all of Big Brother.

If we had a full series of full live feed, we will all know how many people really want it

If you think this is one of the best series ever, then you either have a very short memory or haven't watched it for as long as I have. Sure it's good by C5 standards, but compared to some of the CBB's on four it's not even in the scale.

I honestly do admire your optimism. But there's more chance of pigs sprouting wings than C5 showing live feed.

I agree. They have too much invested in systematically destroying the whole ethos of George Orwells unique concept. Richard Desmond is now in control. Don't we have enough manipulated and scripted reality shows on TV? I've heard more than once in this dire series how BB will pull them up for not doing what they want.

This...

BB was declining horribly on C4, granted the figures aren't as great as its heyday. But they're continually rising. Its beginning to be must see tv once again.

People really need to let go of this outside house no contact rubbish. It doesn't damage the experience. The hms are still in the house pretty much 24\7.

I expect the very people who moan about that, are the same people who moan to offcom over a nipple flash or an explosive argument.

Don't like it...don't watch.

Personally I think by taking away the live feed and putting out a show that deliberately omits or tries to mislead its viewers is more Big Brother-ish than those series with a live feed.

Im on fence with this. Some parts of the CH5 take over are awesome, but some not.
What I particularly dislike since ch5 is all the bull in the mags/papers owned by ch5, related to BB and CBB, just to promote show, rather than facts

^This. The last few BBs on C4 were really pitiful, even the UBB they did wasn't that good. C5 has breathed new life into the show and brought it back from mediocrity. The only negative is lack of live feed
