BIB, and that's why Casey's mother went over and kissed him and said thank you to him today.

I know- but even though Casey's own Mother did that, some on here will still twist it round somehow and decide they saw something else, but it will be negative

Even if he was, so what it is not his daughter.

He was consoling and cheering her up.

It is ok for Luisa to also say how Buff Emma is. I suppose taht is game because she is 'single'.

Had Jim said that....lordy....lordy.....

Double standards.”

I agree with you ????

Can you imagine if a man was making those comments, not lest Jimbo?

You want my opinion? Okay then.

He knows just how badly he came across when he was on Hell's Kitchen. He was even asked to leave because of how he treated Brian. So I believe that he's trying to come across as a nice person to try and make people believe that he's changed. But I don't think he has changed, because when he was on Hell's Kitcken, he tried to make out that he was the victim when he wasn't, and also, when Brian confronted him about it, he kept saying, "okay", "fine", (etc), as if he was trying to shut the conversation down. This is exactly what he's been doing in the house. He's using the same tactics again. He made out that he was the victim with him and Linda's arguments. I had my doubts and wondered whether we would see his bad side, but it came out when he told Luisa to ask Linda about Frank Carson's dressing room. It was a low blow. He may not have actually mentioned her husband by name, but it's clear that the "dressing room" comment was ABOUT her husband, so HE was the one that brought it up. And when Linda confronted him about it, he denied ever saying anything about it! Why would he do that if he was a nice guy? If he was a nice guy, then he would have said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have referred to him." He may have apologised afterwards, but he didn't straight away. He tried to act all innocent, just like he did when he was in Hell's Kitchen.

And by the way, please don't deliberately call me by a different username to the one I go by on this forum. You did it twice. I actually find that quite patronising and rude.

Exactly !! If Jim commented on Luisa and Sams mums, saying they looked sexy - the forum would explode - but a lot of what these HMs say is just because they are a bit immature and don't think before they speak ,and everythings superficial, its all about looks with young vacuous wannabes on this show.

Whereas Jim does think before he speaks, that's why he's popular and hasn't let Linda's gameplan come to fruition, - but he did admit that he shouldn't have said what he did about Lindas husband and that he was in the wrong for that.

abc,

I did not see that series and I am judging him on this one.

I will give you some context, if I may.

Never been a Jim fan.

saw him from the start of his career and did not appreciate his brand of unnecessary comedy.

However he had his show on national prime time TV so, it was more an indictment of us a a society rather than Jim.

Jim did cut certain jokes, racist, as he felt society had moved on. Has it really?

If I knew you, should I judge you on all your past decisions?

But Linda is old as well but she cried so we all jump to the girl's rescue against the bad boy.....

No, course not. I understand that people can change and become different people to what they used to be in the past, of course they can. If someone has said or done something bad and has proven once and for all that they're not the person that they were then, then you're right; they shouldn't be judged on their past decisions. But my point was, I don't believe Jim has changed, and I explained why I think that in my previous post.

Re your first paragraph I think any age should be able to compliment a person without prejudice. But....when you say 'it's all about looks with young vacuous wannabes on this show' then I don't feel it's only celebs who get this reaction. Countless times on civilian BB it's been posted time and time again that if you don't like a certain pretty housemate it's because you are jealous. This, fortunately, doesn't seem to happen when discussing CBB.

I, amongst others, didnt like a particular HM last year and found I couldn't debate my dislike of her without the jealousy card being bandied about, simply, because she happened to be pretty. I don't like Jim in CBB but its nothing to do with his looks

Points duly taken.

I hated this man with a passion but I have compartmentalised him then and now.

I do not think anyone can fake it for so long.

You cannot explain why he has not changed if you based what you see on this show.

You are allowing everything else to skew your view.

I like Jim, and I rather disliked Linda and the way she behaved towards him, and for so long.....but she cried because Jim said a very very hurtful comment to Linda and I felt sorry for her, he was out of order. Noone likes seeing someone that upset.

Yes it was nice of Jim to comfort Casey in his own wise owl/been around the block/dad of the house style that he has and yes he genuinely meant it, I was just trying to say that this sort of downturn in house emotions generally leaves him feeling better - understandable given he's always nominated by all of them - so any house arguments/splits potentially leave him in a stronger position and he's quick to put an arm round Dappy or Ollie if they've fallen out with Luisa. He's very entertaining and playing a very good game.”

I hear you and absolutely agree with you Crazy but I think you should say exactly what you feel and not give a sh*t about upsetting Jim fans because it's true, you can't seem to say a word against him or have a negative opinion without getting the equivalent of hung drawn and quartered on a forum however, his fans are just like him, ignorant, rude and narrow-minded.

Yes, didn't really think about it until I read this comment, but in regards to Jim he does do that quite frequently. Unusually happy when others are arguing.

YES! And after a barrage of viewer complaints about his abusive language and behaviour, and his persecution of a gay male contestant (which prompted official reports to oftel) he was REMOVED from Hell's Kitchen by the producers.

Same old Jim. But he learned from that experience and has changed tactics. He still abuses, insults and demeans - and denies all of it - but he does it in an underhand, sly way. And it works!

This has turned into a pro-Jim topic, like all the other ones that the OP's start.

I think people should vote for who they like most, not to stop anyone else.

I like Jim and Luisa.

Seems silly to scrutinize someone for being caring when someone else needs it, you could say they are all feeding off others misery when consoling them.
