Linda had made it quite clear before entry into the house what she thought of Jim. And, as we find out later, there has been quite a bit of history which has allowed her to nurture her feelings.

Surely then, given how she feels about him why did she simply not refuse to be chained to him on the opening night? I would have had a lot more respect for her if she had. I suppose money can buy anyone and anything, even Linda's self-respect!
