How true any of it is I can't say. One thing I read on here about Lee is puzzling me. Someone posted that he doesn't own property. From of his fee for CBB he's going to buy his mother a car then use the balance for a deposit on a property. That certainly doesn't add up.

They do pay a fortune into the treasury..I'm not defending the obscene money some earn. I think the NHS should pay nurses a respectable wage. That would be a good starting point.

Of course they didn't 'confirm that Gina is wealthy' or that she lived at the Savoy. They just allowed her to repeat the old lies. We know beyond doubt that her stories of having a huge house in Kings Cross and flying everywhere by private jet are false, and there has never been any supporting evidence whatsoever for the Savoy story, which never made any sense anyway. As I say, there appears to be some family money. She doesn't work, and from time to time appears to eat out at pleasant places and buy the occasional designer item. Her allowance may even be as high as a tenth of what she claims.

Thanks. I am not convinced that the site is much good though. They don't seem to give any explanation for the figures they quote, or even make it clear whether they are estimating career-long earnings or guessing at what someone has left.

Blue are estimated on Wikipedia to have sold a creditable 15 million records world-wide, but that is hard to turn into $8 million each, deducting perhaps 50% for other rights and costs, but adding film and tv use. Lee had no writing input into their two biggest hits. Also he has two children and has just got divorced, which must have been a financial hit.

It is unlikely that the coffers are empty, but I would be surprised if he has anything like that much money in his personal possession.

The most surprising thing to me in Liz Jones's column yesterday was to revelation that the Towie actors only get £50 a day. No wonder they all seem to be a bit hungry for other tv work.

for Lee and Dappy to make real money off their music they would need to own their publishing which i doubt they have.

Lee was in a pop group at the time were those boy bands were being churned out at constantly and labels would rape the pockets of them all and Dappy and N-Dubz would have been signed to a 360 deal were the label gets a cut and profit off of absolutely everything they do.

I'm working at the moment so I can't research it but I'm pretty sure Lee has nada. Even the fee from this won't be money in the bank because he owes money. So whatever worth he has take it with a pinch of salt.

As far as I know Gina is skint. It's her parents who have all the money.

She hasn't done a day's work in her life. It's mummy and daddy who are supporting her.

£8 million is not a lot. Perfectly believable for a band as big in the UK as Blue.

All of Blue, apart from Lee, declared themselves bankrupt last year. I doubt Lee still has £8m.

I'd hazard a guess at the wealthiest being Lionel, Evander or Liz.

I would guess that her book would be ghosted, so she might have earned half of that, once the other costs are deducted. I can't even begin to guess where that figure for Ollie has come from. As far as I can see, he only had a stint on a modest rtv show and a book that sold quite well in the UK.
I think Liz's heart breaking poverty might be over now that she has finally sold her huge and lavish country estate with bat sanctuary. She is said to earn £350,000 a year from the Mail - nice work for basically writing the same four or five columns over and over again. I'm not sure where else her money comes from - her books may have sold well perhaps? At least she actually did write them.

The best guess is that one or more members of her family has a successful business, and that she is giving an allowance, which is enough to live on - apparently not in her own place - and to have a leisurely life of lunches with friends etc; a typical London trustafarian lifestyle. There is no reason at all to suppose that she is actually wealthy - she is never seen in expensive members only clubs, or attending designer fashion shows, or any other marker of the very well off. When she went to the post-BB red carpet party she wore, if I remember rightly, a Lipsy dress.

Presumably their accountants keep promising them that they have found brilliant new ways to enable them to keep more of their money; at least it is possible that they just tell their accountants a pack of lies, but I should think the accountants must at least glance at their bank accounts.

Luisa is a publicity hound. It's amazing how so many of these Apprentice folk never seem to run real businesses but whore themselves around TV studios after they finish the show.

I used to work with a massive Jim D fan and she knew a fair bit. he's looked after his money bar the cost of those divorces. His theatre shows used to make a fortune and he'll be back on the circuit now that CBB has put him back in the limelight.

Dappy? Not sure how many records N-Dubz sold. Artists are notoriously spendthrifts and don't forget that the record company deducts all expenses before they pay up. These can be expensive. His best bet is if he has writing credits and has hung onto the copyright.

I wouldn't say Gina is Skint, considering she lives on a monthly allowance it would be hard to become skint.

Don't know what money she has of her own but it's unlikely she would spend that on everyday living.

Of course Gina isn't you and doesn't say she's rich these days, but to say you would be embarrassed to take money offered, thats rich, for what reason would you refuse it, to say you would prefer to go out and earn it doing hard labour, pull the other one.

Thats not a very nice thing to say to someone who is starting a diet today.
And considering she spends £10,000 a month in the shops she's putting a lot more into society than someone earning £2,000 a month, do your sums.

so i expect a thread when cbb ends asking which housemates have added the most to their wealth on the back of bb, and have they got websites more professional than ginas?

I think most, if not all of them will benefit from this series, considering how successful it's been as well.

I think they are all in for a surprise, when you have been watched and enjoyed by so may your face is in the public eye again and people do get interested in how you are doing, and what.

Not sure about websites, they are mainly for business, they can work for private individuals but keeping them up to date isn't easy, unless the site is run by some fan club members.
