If it is true that Gina's family really are rich and pay her a monthly allowance then you have to ask questions about this. I mean who in their right mind would encourage their daughter to laze about at the Savoy. I bet Sir Sugaryness doesn't let his kids do this.
Why didn't they encourage her to get a good education, start her own business, buy property? It just doesn't make sense. People who have made money usually want to hold on to it and don't want spendthrift kids sponging off them for the rest of their lives.
I used to know someone whose dad was a multi millionaire and he cut his son off after a good many years of the son wasting money and doing nothing.
What is Gina's future going to be? Endless and pointless days looking at designer shoes and handbags - surely she will get bored of this eventually? What if her folks lose their money? She will not be equipped to survive in the real world. A parent who lets their child live this sort of existence isn't doing them any favours at all in the long run.
PS this is a big IF as I'm still not convinced that Gina was what she claimed to be

Thousands of people have won the lottery and pools, most give up their jobs to others who need the job more.

Sugars kids all work for him. They were spoiled rotten. None of them got any qualifications and he supports them all.
Quite right that you wouldn't put them in the Savoy. It isn't even the best hotel in London.

Why would you need to understand where the money is coming from.
Millions of people have lots of money, you don't want to know where theirs is coming from.
Some people, in fact most people like to keep their income private, and source also.
Would you want someone digging into your finances to try and get to the bottom of what makes you tick.
Surely not, very few people would.
But when you see all those directors etc getting bonuses of more or equal to their salary you don't wonder they are pretty well off.

I think that the amount they put down as wealth is calculated on what is assumed they get from certain types of income, of course the outgoing can't really be calculated so the net result is unknown.
Many people have a massive income but spend a lot more, thats what gets them into so much trouble.

I'd say any band that went on The Big Reunion needed the money and a career boost, so if Lee had £8m at some point, I doubt he still does, or why go on CBB? His Mum said he went on there to enable him to provide for his kids, hardly the sign of a wealthy man.

The purpose of life is to have children to keep the world ticking over and to enjoy life any way possible.
Noone was born to work, just to feed yourself and family.
Work and all that is man made, we work for the government really and we keep enough to survive.
If a person can afford not to work then that is fine, people only work because they have to, it;s not a hobby.

That is cash, so to speak, very few people have that sort of cash available anyway.
It's always tied up in bricks and mortar or investments.
In would be nice to see her Maj in the house though.

Well Jim has paid over £15 million in taxes during his career. He may not be as solvent now as he was in the past, but to pay that amount in taxes, it leaves me speachless.

The way Liz commented on the other HM's dress sense suggest she likes to dress in the finer things, meaning she probably has a lot of money. Linda saying we can't all afford £500 jackets suggest that she does not have a lot of money. I would. Do not mind paying my fair share, but would seriously move out of the country if the Government expected me to give them 83p out of every pound I earned or even 50p out of every pound earned. That was the tax rate in the Seventies if you earned over £20,000.
I agree with you with regards low taxes. Nobody minds and the majority are more than happy to pay their share. Say 20% of £2 million bringing in say £200,000, or 50% of £2 million that brings in nothing; thanks to a decent accountant and his knowledge of loop-holes.
