Loving the Bartons!! :)
It's great seeing the extension of the Barton clan finally getting some good plots down the dales way.
#Pete's drug dealing and the fallout will be huge for the clan, #Finns comic scenes with Val are fantastic, and he's budding relationship with Victoria. #James' crush on Moria will mean a shocking battle with Cain I predict!! and their history to be explained #Ross has already been a great dark character slightly twisted.... 2014 will be big for this clan!!

Me too! Normally I don't like new characters straight away but I liked the extended Bartons from day one.

I really wanted to like them since I loved the original Bartons (yes, even the daughters) but I can't stand any of the new one.
James is smarmy, unlikeable and just as self-righteous as John despite clearly not being a nice guy. I don't like Finn's male-Victoria stick, Victoria works as we know her character and watched her grow up whereas Finn has just shown up and immediately acted like a gobby so-and-so. He could grow on me though. Pete is just dull and I really dislike the actor. Ross is the best of the bunch but his cockiness really grates. |

Ross is the best of a bad bunch imo. Finn is growing on me but the rest are dire.

I really like them, they're a shot in the arm. Ross is a brilliant bad boy. Finn makes me laugh. Pete is boring as hell and does nowt for me but he has a convincing brotherly vibe with the others (they just feel like a family to me, which is hard to do but they have cracked it).
Plus, I might be the only person in the world who actually likes James, mainly because I want to get into his lumberjack shirt, but also because he muddies things up nicely between Moira and Cain and I like how Ross hates him. But his habit of theatrically SLAMMING every door so heavily the set shakes is hysterical. Tone it down a bit, Jim. |

I like Ross and Finn. Not really sure about Pete, he comes across as quite boring but we haven't really seen very much of him up until now, so who knows how he will turn out? I don't like James at all, I thought he would be a great character but he gives me the creeps and I don't like his John Wayne swagger either
![]() All of that said, I think they have settled into Emmerdale much more smoothly than The Spencer's ever have and I enjoy watching their scenes. |

I've always liked Ross, because he just says and does what he wants and to hell with consequences. Finn is an amusing character - and I love the fact he isn't defined by his sexuality. Still not sure about James and Pete - they seem interesting, but we still haven't really got to know them fully. |

They make the spencers look interesting The Bartons are very dull. I thought they might be interesting, but no, and nothing in the future plots I've seen will change that. |
