BT LandLine
I am about to purchase an property which has a BT line. I have feeling still connected and I am going to have to transfer the account into my name from the old owner. How do I do this and do keep the current number?

You will basically be getting a new account of your own. And it can be with any telecoms provider you like as long as they serve your area, you don't have to go with BT or whoever the previous owners used. All you need do is contact your chosen service provider and tell them you want to pay them some money each month to have a phone line. |

You can dial 17070 and this will give you the number for the line in the house. This is subject to change though if you sign up with BT or any other company. |
