I don't know why there's any suggestion that CRH has a say in any decisions relating to James and Ola, or indeed the continued inclusion of any of the pros ~ there's simply the possibility that he may be privvy to some relevant information.

Craig came back from a major hip operation without taking any time off from the show, maybe so they did not get a "guest" judge in to sit in for him.

In which case, someone who was that much of a "control freak" would be all over all the gossip and backstage happenings whether he had any involvement or not.

Was expected. They can focus on their own projects now.

enough eye candy to survive without Ola.

James Jordan is on "the Wright Stuff" panel all next week, am not a fan of his but will watch, interested to see his viewpoints on various topics

I wonder whether the Jordans are keen to move on in any case. A dancer's active life is short, and James has had a number of injuries of late. I've seen James present some slots, and be a talking head on discussion shows, and while I'm not a fan of his, I think he did just as well if not better than many of the actor/singer/model presenters that clutter up our screens.

I'm sure their agent(s) will be looking at a number of different opportunities for them. Choosing to leave SCD wouldn't be the worst move in the world for them (see Camilla, Flavia and Vincent for details). It's a popular show, and they get a lot of exposure from it, but they've been on it long enough to have a dedicated fanbase.

Yup--I agree. At most 'Strictly's just been an astonishingly hi-profile Showcase for these dancers' future work possibilities, either in 'Ballroom'/TV circuit, own Dance Shows, normal West End Shows, Choreography, or even just their family business Dance Schools. It's a huge opportunity for public fame/awareness, so, with a limited age career--like sportsmen--it's great they make their mark on this show. Also nice is it offers career ideas to youngsters of both sexes that having a flair for Dance is a viable and enjoyable creative career option. Good Luck to all of them--being a career Dancer is VERY hard work!

I agree with the comments that Ola and James themselves probably wouldn't mind moving on from the Strictly - I know they both have their shortcomings but on balance I like them both and I would miss them if they left, but as already stated they've both had a long tenure on strictly and even I have to admit they were both looking slightly jaded last series - although I guess this wasn't helped by Ola having the frustrations of dealing with a celeb that looked like a contender on paper but in reality had limited training time due to filming scedules/impending fatherhood/being knackered and er James having a celeb perceived as annoying/challenging.

It's a pity James has never got to hold the mirror ball - but other pros that have not won and left are still remembered fondly.

If they do leave - I'd like it to be presented as an amicable/mutual decision between them and the strictly producers a la Karen Hardy, Flavia, Vincent, Erin etc and not the badly handled firings of Darren, Lilia and Aliona (before she was rehired), because that just creates bad feeling. So I hope if they leave they both remain within the 'family' - and are still offered roles such as appearances on Christmas Specials and ITT.

Yes, I agree, even if it's just PR. Not keen on James personally but he's been a real hard-worker for ages, so deserves respect for dragging some of his lesser Celebs beyond their normal limits; Ola is divine and will find lots of opportunities for years to come, so they can capitalise on their fame/achievements beyond Strictly.
While I still miss Darren, Lilia & Ian Waite, I DO like the idea of this show being a Rolling Showcase for the Best in the 'Ballroom' circuit, and changing the pro's every few years gives fair opportunities to more. Once they've 'scored' with The Public, they've a good career ahead plus we've a chance to see those we particularly admired. So it can be A Good Thing, depending how they use it.

I still miss Matthew Cutler, Strictly really hasn't been the same without his sparkling feet.

YES, he WAS rather divine, wasn't he?? Charming, great with celebs, kind, fab dancer, handsome & versatile.....A real LOSS esp when Brendon, Anton, & James are still front line 'stars' but Darren, Ian Waite and Matthew have been cast aside mysteriously....

I miss more his partner; "The Queen of Spin," as she was named.
She "ran off and married a rugby player."

I thought he was simply a member of the judging panel and as much a member of the "hired help" as any of the dancers are. I can't see him having much (if any) say over who is hired and who is fired - that decision is one for the producers to make..

The Jordans have a considerable fanbase (even though you wouldn't think so going by the comments on here), Ola has won the main series and at least one Christmas special, along with (I think) almost a clean sweep on last year's tour with Louis, and James has had considerable success with his past aprtners too. Both of them seem to be able to get their partners further than most expected - although james has suffered more than his fair share of "controversial" (down to judges decision in dance offs) eliminations. IMHO he was booted out by the judges on at least 3 occasions - with Gaby Logan, Cherie Lunghi and Zoe Lucker - Im sure on all 3 occasions they weren't the bottom couple.....”

Well he has directed most (if not all) of the live tours, so has does have some clout with regards to that. I would also imagine that he knows a lot more than we do.

Thanks for that, but it's a telly programme and it's only like missing one of the "characters."

Who proof reads these sites?
"Copyright 2023" seems rather an obvious mistake.

There was also a spelling mistake on Darren and Lilia's home page, but I think they've got a completely new web page now.

If the Jordans move on it may be their own choice and nothing to do with the BBC or even Karen Hauer.

I think it might be true; I have reason to believe that James is pregnant:

How strange that a pap just happened to be outside the Jordan's home, funny that!

Out of condition 'pap' photos usually come before a fitness DVD. I reserve the right to say " I told you so," should one appear.

It's almost refreshing to see a man's weight picked on for a change. Journalists ( in a very loose sense of the word) should attach a full length photo of themselves to every article commenting on someone else.

Going back to Fudd's post is March too early for the annual ' Is Ola Pregnant?'thread?

Wasn't that a hilarious article?? LOVED it, and sooo refreshing to see MEN picked on for 'letting their bikini bodies go' for a bit!! I could even warm to him if he keeps the lumber and pastiness but dances on regardless......

Two whole pizzas!

I wonder if Georgina Bouzova will be in touch?

Seriously though, as long as he is back in shape when he needs to be, its a free world. He does work hard when he is on the payroll.
