Never bothered me. I leave it in the box on the counter over night and it's always been fine.

I stopped doing that after getting the runs after eating something left out overnight!

I've known people get really ill with salmonella after eating take-aways that have been left hanging around all night. Probably less risk with pizza, but if containing meat, not worth the risk imo.

Should be ok if put in the fridge early on though.

I've always done this with meat pizzas and pretty much everything, including rice *gasps* yes rice and nothing has ever happened to me.

I've reheated rice after leaving it out of the fridge all night and never had any problems.

Exactly! I think people are far too over cautious these days, to the point of stupidity.

Indeed. A fast food delicacy in West/Central Scotland.
It can be taken a step further, dipped in batter first, then deep fried.

We usually eat any leftover pizza cold the next day.

Our local pizza place usually has reheating instructions printed on the boxes though.

Some tips here about storing meats and left-overs - no doubt there will be people on here posting that it's stupid advice, but you will have to use your own judgement re where the stupidity lies.

As others have said, on the rare occasion any is left over (!) I like to eat it cold.

Otherwise, I'd reheat it slowly in a low heat oven.
I put it in the lower oven of the rayburn, which I suppose is at about 100 degrees.

I think most people know that reheating something that has been sitting on the counter all night is not that sensible, but myself and many other people do it a lot and have never been ill.

I never get meat on my pizza so that's never a worry for me. Also buying deep pan makes it much easier to microwave without a fuss. My thin and crispy pizza usually becomes just crispy even if I leave it in for 5 seconds too long.
