Kyran didn't do an axel jump - he did a flip jump. Still tricky, but nowhere near as difficult as an axel.
Suzanne has never been able to do jumps like Ray, AFAIK she can only really do a waltz jump (never seen her do anything else), but she can do the headbanger which she did in her 2nd skate. She can do spins so I don't know why they didn't put one in for her - though Ray does great spins too. tbh, it wouldn't matter what Suzanne did, Ray can do the essential skating better than anyone else.
I agree with Hayley & Beth - that was very much skewed towards hayley's strengths.
And the same for Gareth and Bonnie, it was chorepgraphed so Gareth looked much better.”
Thanks - I just caught a jump flashing by that looked rather special....If he can still do it, that leaves the axel in Kyran's kit bag.
I think the Ray v Suzanne thing depends on whether they emphasise his strengths or hers in the routine(s) She just needs a bigger advantage from the routine - because he's good at most things and the basic skating. They can both dance and act - i think she's a bit better at the acting, and they split the dancing depending on what it is. She can do bigger lifts than he can put up though.
Its unknown how repeating the same moves will go down, or who has what new ones to deploy. If he's doing the same jump, and she's doing the full version headbanger too often, its going to lose its impact. Not sure either how many, similar tempo, similar theme, dance routines Hayley can do before she looks old hat too. Give Suzanne the right music, story, and dance and enough dramatic moves, and she's competitive on emotional content which is about all any female can do against Ray. Her problem is she's not been getting complete, strong, routines half the time, she's trying too much difficulty sometimes, and and she's been a bit too error prone on her big moves. Hayley, meanwhile, after her first week, has been fed routines that are right up her street, and has added some difficulty over and above what she did on her series, without taking the risks Suzanne has.
